I've averaged 27 MPG in a buddy's '01 S500 on the way to Alabama. They're definitely capable of excellent fuel economy.

keyless go is when there's a button on the gear shifter knob, and yes you have to have your foot on the break.. the key will work like that without your foot on the break, I would know, I've got an S430, that doesn't have keyless go

my grampa has a 2002 s430 and my gramma has a 2008 e350. they are great cars we owned the s430 since 06 and we bought the e350 in apr. 2010

Yeah. But when we got it it had less miles on it then our 2006 Civic Hybrid. Both cars are around 39,000, but my dad drives the S often so it may have a bit more miles on it. And the car doesn't have the best gas mileage. My dad and I got it up to 20 MPG like once.

@raejaybigpapi yes its cheaper,and and its a lot more nicer,confortable, luxurius,more bigger and has more toys,but the problem with a car on this class,is not really the price,is the maintanance,the mercedes benz parts are very expensive,the fuel consumption,the taxes you pay,and thats why normal people buys normal cars,which are expensive than this s class,but if you can afford it,your dad mayde an excelent choice!
