  • @Caddytrash I insured mine as a 1.3 starlet sportif when it's a glanza. I been pulled by the law a couple times and they don't know so you can get away with it plus it's about £200 cheaper per year!

    your a knob,cuz if something happens your insurance won't pay out & you could get done for driving without insurance,you might aswell drive about with no insurance.

  • @whatazhar don't get your knickers in a twist, I have sold the motor now anyway. most police have no clue as to what a glanza is anyway and with the A.N.P.R cameras it comes up as insured so there is a point in driving with insurance.

  • i own a GT and 300bhp is not an easy task to achieve you wont get it from a tdo4

  • i beg to differ my friend i am runnin tdo4 mitsubishi turbo on my glanza with full race forged engine 1.5 bar boost all the mods u can put on i run 300bhp now so it is very possible on tdo4.

  • i'm going use the 5e bottom end on my block and use my td04 (subaru) to shoot for close to 300hp. i dont see why people think it's impossible (even though i'm cheating with a 1.5l)

  • u dnt need to go to a bigger bottom end u just rebore the block and give it bigger forged pistons and forge the rest of the engine u will get 300bhp no problem and the car will be strong as hell once u get over 200 bhp u need to change your braking system and suspension otherwise u wont stop or go round corners quick u will end up in the trees lol

  • a tdo4 is a turbo off a subaru wrx and 1.2 bar is alot of boost for a glanza its double the standard boost that glanza will be running anywere around 200 - 250 bhp

  • on a tdo4 for a glanza it is a mitsubshi turbo not subaru, and the standard ct9 turbo on the glanza can handle a bar of boost because i used to boost mine at a bar on standard turbo, tdo4 can boost up to 1.5 bar easily but if you want that much boost to go through that car you need forged rods, pistons, crank, head gasket, bigger pistons uprated fuel system and front mount intercooler you are talking around the £3000 mark for all that easily, but the car will be well capabe of 300bhp+

  • no its not mate if you know what you are talking about a tdo4 on a subaru will NOT fit a glanza at all even with modification it is a mitsi turbo because i have one myself and the turbo is off a eclipse

  • Hmmmm, I've just ordered a TD04 manifold for my glanza and that uses the subaru TD04. I do know what I'm talking about.

  • LOL. I run a Glanza with a TD04L fitted from a 2005 WRX mate. LOL

    Needs a custom downpipe and manifold and exhaust rotating. 1.4bar and 275hp. little bit more boost, headwork or cams and I will get 300hp.

  • Only problem is gettin all of that power down which it sounds like he is having this problem limited slip diff will help but will not solve the problem if you put so much power through the car.

  • Most of the TD04's used in the starlets are actually subaru turbo's, all that needs modifing is the exhaust housing needs rotating and you ether need new mani and downpipe or CT9-TD04 fitting adapter!!

  • yeah u may be right but u will find a mitsubishi turbo cheaper from new imported frm japan i had to get custom made mani and downpipe for it to fit and a smaller oil dump pipe.

  • subaru or mitsibishi who cares.... the subaru one is the one most widely used as it is cheaper.. and uses a normal td series flange. td04,5,6,7 all use the flange in different sizes and also a few others, the misu one is more like a normal t2 or 3 flange....
