  • @elcreston1 Es un motor Toyota, modelo 2T de 1588 cc, el cual es obviamente de 4 tiempos.

    Googlealo y conócelo, es un OHV hemisférico de muy buen rendimiento. Lo usaban muchos Corollas y Célicas de fines de los 70 y principios de los 80, Tambien los Daihatsu Charmant.

  • @SuperC20xe twin carbs are like the efi of the past, you can manually tune the air/fuel needed for each cylinder. thus improving the power and letting your engine run healthier..

  • @madzraymund aun ser 2 months ago pa yan . aisan carb _4K carb_ na gamit ko ngayon , bagal ng response ser di na ko makahataw .. i miss the solex carb.. ayun amoy pa rin ngaun pero light n lang baka nga normal lang yan amoy gas . dati ma sakit sa ilong sabi ng kaibigan ko, hhehe ..

    gsto ko yan carb mo quad throttle! san mkakabili nyan ?

    kung masakit sa mata at ilong, mejo rich na un.. dapat check mo ung spark plug, dapat brown to dark-brown lang kulay.. kung sa 4k, ok din ang twin down.. mganda din ang twin down kahit sa 7k, tried and tested..

  • hello nice video, ive got sme question the engine is a 2tg?, ive got a 2tg in my ae85 but with different head (yamaha twin cam).

  • @alonsoherria 2T and 2TG are both the same except for the head, G stands for high angle DOHC and the 2TG heads were made by yamaha.. i think 2TG uses a breakerless distributor and ignition coil, which is a lot better and wont miss fire at higher revvs like the traditional contact type distributors..

  • @madzraymund i have a car do you know mitsubishi lancerfiore? its engine is a 4g32 turbo it has a fuel injector that looks like a simple carb cause it only has 2 injectors inside. and the ecu is now toast and that injector was lost i was just thinking can i put a new EFI system in it using other parts that can fit in my 4g32... i have to use different ECU cause i want to fit it with different manifold

  • No official dyno run yet but I ran this in the wet with a consistent time of 0-100kph of 7.1-7.2sec without my worn LSD.. So I only launched at a low 1500rpm and less aggressive shifting.. with LSD this could probably make it under 7sec on wet.. Not bad with all the weight in it, approx an addition of around 120kg..

    if more on performance, twin-side and 4-1 headers..

    if pang everyday driving and still with performance, twin-down and 4-2-1 headers ka.

    Pwede naman, aggressive ang tunog ng mga naka velocity stack na twin side at high revving pa.. pwede same tunog kung mag twin side carbs ka, pero since small displacement lang ang 4k at 5k, ok na ung twin down, yan naman usually ikinakabit sa 4k 5k, ung iba nag ttwin side sa 5k nila.. ang down draft masmaganda sa low-mid rpm range, ang twin side naman better for mid-high rpm range..

    4-2-1 headers na masmalaki sa stock pati exhaust, twin down carbs, at if my extra budget ka, ipa port & polish at shave mo ung head sa machine shop..

    air flow at tumaas onte compression..

    addtn'l more performance:

    twin side cabs, ok na un solex na galing 2tg, 4-1 headers at bigger exhaust, add ka ng valve springs para in and out na, at ung sa machine shop..

    pero everyday friendly pa din to..

  • sir. balak ko kasi mag pa assemble ng owner na low profile ang concept niya, balak ko sana is 5k engine na 5 speed tapos pa headers ko ng 4-1 tapos muffler, malakas na ba sa gas yun and mag kanu kaya ang kilometer per liter nun?. how about 4k ganun din owkei po ba ang performance? yung 2T, 3T, 4T and 13T malakas ba sa gas? sana po matuolungan ninyo ako sa mga katanungan ko..

  • use K50 tranny same sa mga 7K, deretso na un..

    1.5L lang ang 5K, at matitipid sa gas mga K engines except sa 7K. kung sa 4-1, mbbawasan ka onte sa low end, 4-1 kasi maganda sa mid-hi rpm. kung stock lang engine mo, I suggest mag 4-2-1 ka nlng tpos partner mo sa downdraft for better fuel-air mixture, which means better performance and better fuel economy, tried and tested ko na yan sa fx ko dati na 7K..

  • tama lang gas consumption, medyo tipid na din sakin.. dahil ung 2T ko na increase na displacement so mga 1800cc na pataas, mga 7-8km/L city driving, ung SiR ng kakilala ko na stock lang nsa 8km/L lang din, compare mo naman 1600cc lang un tapos halos same lang sakin na masmalaki pa makina ko..

    tipid naman kasi my engine has better torque curve and better power-weight ratio car ko..

  • will post some new clips soon with some differences from this clip of a twin autotech elec fuel pump 1 for each carburetor, bigger copper fuel line, Aisin big valves (1.5mm bigger than previous and had to replace it since the last time had some damaged valve seats and cracked some valves..broke my lsd too, what a waste..), 8mm hi tension wires, water cooled oil cooler, 3 rows radiator, and probably change to 4-1 headers soon..

    as for 2T, 3T, 13T, 4T, etc..they all have same iron T block.. 2T has 70mm stroke while 3T and 13T have 78mm.. but some considered mine as under modified 1800cc class but when you compute in, its a bit over 1800cc.. once you bored the block for bigger pistons, there are no turning back..

  • This engine can easily be a 2T as it looks exactly the same as a 3T engine.You CANNOT tell the difference just by looking at the tappet cover.Here in South Africa where i live you got the 4K-1300cc,2T-1600cc and the 3T-1800cc.ONLY difference between the 2T and 3T is that the 3T has a longer Stroke!They have identical bores.READ YOUR CAR MANUAL.That's if you still have one.

  • wow, you must be pretty uneducated cause if you cant see that my car is also carby fed then i dont know what else to tell you. plus my motor has been fully blueprinted and puts out around 250kw at 20pound boost so i dont see how its way better as you put it, id also like to know why you wouldnt put a turbo on a 5k motor? or mabye its just that your far to stupid to see the benefits of blowing away $50,000 cars at a quarter of the price. thanks for your comments though, a good laugh indeed.

  • N/A Engines also require specially designed exhausts to function well, adding forced induction means the exhausts can be as wide and short as possible, which helps when needing to route the exhaust without performance losses and the added weight.

  • not original intake manifold. tosco copy is off specs better to use webers instead of solex put 88.5 pistons. th99plus 10 0r z60 or best is x42 trd cams.

    big valves 45/39 double springs w titanium retainers. port intake to 38.5 then polish put 4to 1 extractors. 4.7 differetials 7kg flywheel double clutch balanced flywheel and crank heat treated. and thats 2T power!!! not like that sounds crappy.

No offense/I don't mean to be picky but u say your running an electric fuel pump, but fuel lines from carburetor looks like it's still connected to standard mechanical pump on block. Exhaust looks like a copy of the Fujitsubo Super EX from Yahoo japan and why the radio suppressor on magnetic pickup dizzy? Anyways, I'd like 2 c what it does 1/4 mile as the Jap guys with 1919/1940cc 2T-G/3T hybrids are doing low 14's to mid 13's.

  • yes, this clip is when the engine was just assembled and breaking it in.. now it runs with an elec fuel pump and have the mechanical pump removed.. I'm not much in drag racing, but if possible i'd like to time it to officially time it.. so far it's doing 14s rolling start in street drag..but it wasn't tuned well back then..

  • I noticed u are using a 3T crank. Does that mean you are using the whole 3T block which is 1.8cc?

  • 200hp from just adding a Weber and a high rise enhaust manifold? Even the internal rockers aren't aftermarket. Whats more the similarity in the stock push rod sound my engine pushes. Slightly at 150hp would be more real.

    200hp or more would have you seeing different valve springs, pistons and rockers. And probably different rods as well. By that time the old T40 or T50 tranny would be nearly dead.

  • ...Its mikkunis, meaning solex side drafts, not webber carbs.. If you read the specs, it's running with TRD double valve springs and custom 88mm pistons.

    ..I know someone whom is serious with slalom and some circuit w/ a full race 2.0L 2T and a stock T50 for more than a year and keeps on going, just regular check up and maintenance he said. So I guess this will do fine for a while.

  • Firstly this engine doesn't have cams. Its pushrod.

    Somethings wrong here i noticed that the oil return hose is replaced with a breather filter. And the engine cover exhaust is not plumbed to the ground or routed to an oil catch tank. Are you sure you won't kill the rockers if there is no oil going to the top?

    I think my mechanic is doing well with it, since he was a chief mechanic in a rally team back in the days, he really likes T engines..

    I accidentally revved my engine to near 10,000rpm at 1st gear last week, fortunately everything hold well.

  • what..? Do you even know what moves the pushrods? It's a camshaft located at the lower side of the engine. The return oil is just for a little amount of oil that goes out of the intake..and its very little in amount..and oil circulates inside when the engine runs.. try working with an engine for a while not just checking and filling the radiator and brake fluids to understand more how things really work noob.

    Te explico ese es un motor toyota de la familia T de los cuales hay varias versiones y cilindradas,con respecto a las cilindradas:

    motor T 1400 cc,2T 1600 cc,3T 1800cc y hubo una version del 4T de 2.1 litros doble leva doble bujía y turbo de algo asi como 600 hp (se usó en autos de rally del extinto grupo B).

  • Tambien habían versiones con doble carburador Aisin de fabrica (2TB) y con doble leva ,inyeccion multipunto,todo sobre una nueva culata rediseñada por Yamaha(2TG).

    Eso por el momento amigo, lo del 2T es por el modelo del motor y no por que este sea de 2 tiempos.
