I think bikes, just like the tricks progressed VERY quickly after the 80's!

Much more stable and a hell of a lot tougher for a start.

Funnily enough the most amazing bike I had (and I went through many!) was the original Hoffman Bikes Condor. That thing litteraly felt like a body extension, it was so stable in the air it gave you massive confidence to push harder.

I rode an old 'Burner since and it was jst awful, the total opposite to the Condor. Maybe cuz it wasn't designed by a rider

I wound up skating but BMX Beat was such a great show,presented in a more mature fashion than the 'Yoof' efforts today.

A local Liverpudlian was on the show who was known as'Puddy'.

I still remember seeing him in the dusk about 500m away and thinking he was riding strangely.He kept going and wheelied right past me on my Grifter.
