  • the fact is not that he plays it too slow, but that he CAN play it so slow without her losing any meaning! It's outstanding!

  • this sounds like a damn funeral march....

  • Ces notes pénètrent jusqu'au plus profond de mon être et transpercent mon coeur... puis, je vis un moment dans l'oubli.

  • He makes it very forlorn sounding at this speed.

  • I think this movement should be played in a slow 'stately' manner, but this is going wayyyy to far imho.

  • He looks bored!!!

Ah, the genius and his talent- he must have been one of the most amazing talents to have ever set foot on earth.

  • way to slow.. but great interpretation:)

  • I've read some of these comments posted on this video and it's almost as if some people are saying "How dare this man not play the piece exactly as I want him to?"

  • Erano lontani parenti G&G

    ...o sbaglio?

  • @hypsophilus la questione è controversa. Nonostante è ciò che Gould affermi, non sembrerebbe esserci nessuna prova certa.

  • i liked the interpretation. Its true, its very slow, but its beautifully played. You can adapt to that.

  • Once again, like the first movement, he played it beautiful but slow, I know that gould usually plays different than the rest of the world and he do it wonderfully but in this performance I disagree whit him.

  • 'poco più lento" a little more slow.

It's supposed to be slow. Nothing to "disagree" about. You either like the tempo or you don't. Glenn Gould never played a piece the same way twice. It's a matter of taste. I happen to like yhis thoughtful interpretation a lot.
