thats really sad. i know how it feels to lose a dog so young as i lost my bordeaux christmas 06 at the age of 4. he suddenly fell ill christmas day. dont know the cause of death although he had many opperations £17,000 worth. he was amazing and still sad but the loss of him made me get hermione. what a change...nutter. sorry for your loss
i have a harlie dane and am looking for a frenchie. but my dane is very hyper. how old were yours when they calmed down. hermione is 20 months. your video is really nice. how good is he
Geronimo (the Dane) was 4 years old in this video.He was really cautious at first because she was so little. So he wouldn't play with her cause he was afraid to hurt her. As soon as she got older and more coordinate they became best friends. He was always real gentle with her. Geronimo was a real hyper also as a puppy but after 2 years old he really started to calm down. Neutering him also really helped. Unfortunately he passed away in July of a heart condition. Zoe really misses him.

He was 10 years old. One of the reasons why I haven't posted new videos of G&Z is because since this one Geronimo has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and another genetic heart disease that is incurable. He is on a cocktail of medicine to control his heart rate. cont...
The cardiologist said that worst case scenario he would be around for another month and best case a year. He is only 4 1/2. The medicine is working but he can't walk more than a block with out getting really tired. My goal right now is to spend as much quality time with him and make him as comfortable as possible. It is so hard to be a Dane owner when their life-span is so short. I have video of him as a puppy when DISASTER was still around. I"m going to post those. Beautiful tribute BTW.

They are an odd couple lol. I just put that clip up as a my first test video for YouTube. I do have others that I will post as they are playing more and more together and Zoe is getting tougher... :)

Geronimo is a real rascal - he seems to bring out Zoe's maternal instinct. He'll always be like a puppy next to her, even when he's full grown.
