jake, Please don't let other people prevent you from not eating meat. Your family simply needs to be educated. First get the facts yourself; there are tons of vegetarian websites, books etc. Then slowly show them why you've decided not to kill animals for food, and hopefully they'll eventually not only agree with you, but "go vegi" themselves! They definately need more of these kinds of ads on Australian TV...as far as animal cruelty goes or environmental damage there really aren't any ads at all which inform the public about how bad things really are and i think its time there were

Exactly why isn't this on tv? They find spots to put "eat with your family" and "the more you know" but they can't put this!??!

Great idea for a commercial! I think that people need to see these kinds of things. You cannot live your life in a moral fashion if your existence requires that literally billions of animals suffer and die every year. I hope to see more pro-life commercials like these in addition to anti-abortion commercials.
