This sketch, along with the famous Mastermind sketch, were written for The Two Ronnies by David Renwick, who's probably more famous for his sitcom One Foot In The Grave. Two of the funniest sketches ever written!
i think they could of improved that sketch by having them finish the conversation and we find out they were actually talking to each other all along :L but it might have not been the best, only my idea
No matter how many times I've seen this I can't stop laughing at it!! The Two Ronnies (and Morcambe and Wise) will alway be comedy geniuses in my opinion
@fattoler I hope that wasn't sarcasm, or I'll look dumb for answering, but just in case: a cross-your-heart bra would create the image of the beasts separated by a cross, hence "OXO".
This was written by David Renwick, who also wrote the Mastermind sketch and of course wrote the brilliant One Foot in the Grave, which was one of my all-time favourite sit-coms.
absoulutly hallarious crazy amazing clever funny two classic comedy characters who can do the most amzing comedy without laughing how on earth did they do it hats off to them.
The great writers are the writers of Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, The Two Ronnies, Blackadder,Father Ted, Not Going Out, Morcambe and Wise, Black Books and A Bit Of Fry and Laurie
I didn't 'compare' them to eachother, i jsut said they're all great, of course i don't think Black Books and Not Going Out are as good as MP or Ronnies lol, no1 is as good as them except maybe Morcambe and Wise and Blackadder Goes Forth....and actually Fawlty Towers lol......they come close. And i have seen Mastermind, i've seen them all :) repeatedly lol
Lol no problem, indeed it would lol, my mate and i did our own version of this sketch, obviously it can't be as good as the original but people seem to like it.....not bad for amateurs =)
What did you say her name was - Hovis , I think I know her !. I think I know her and the cross your heart bra line was really funny. Shame we wont have any of this sort of comedy anymore.
Just simply brilliant.
