Story after story if ppl just removed their pet, chance is greater 4 a recovery rather then subject an animal 2 that environment.
By the way, there really was a guy murdered in a home invasion in La Plata, but the first name wasn't Scott. The guy's name was Timothy Scott Bryant, 30 years old. It says he was playing video games at 4:30 am with friends and some masked men broke in and killed him. They were looking for drugs, since this guy was a known drug addict. Nice friend to let your kids hang around with and have as a guest in your home!

My son and I were both seeing a dark spirit with red eyes in our house and we called on my mother in law to protect us and now my house is haunted but nothing dark anymore. @fknthng As someone who has been seeking out the dead for over 18yrs I can explain this. First , ghost do not act therefore they do not appear on cue. So sometimes it takes several investigations to collect enough data to even determine what the source of activity is. Next you have to use different methods for different types of haunting..example you would never use holy water in a home with demonic presence. There is lots involved in investigating...it is not cut and dry like you see on TV.

So Scott leaves the house because he is spooked by the basement and then is killed at someone else's house. If there hadn't been all this ghost talk, he'd be alive.
@angerdux8 Actually , Scott lived there BEFORE we ever investigated ( one thing the producers placed in the wrong order) and Vicki threw him out because he had a problem with drugs. Scott was murdered as a result of a home invasion plotted out by a female he had allowed to stay with him and she was aware that he had drugs in the house...Scott was killed because of drugs not ghost.
Using the ghost box can open up a pandora's box. Were the spirits that may have followed the girl home responsible for any of the tragedy? That's a question that I wouldn't want to have to ponder if I was the girl. I was obsessed with using the ghost box several months ago and experienced all sorts of supernatural havoc as a result I believe.
That was scarier than any scary movie I've ever seen. I'm so sorry you all had to go through this. I grew up in a haunted house myself & I know how it is. Nobody believes you unless they experience it themselves.

Why did it take so long to do the blessing on the house? Was your group trying to persuade them through the whole ordeal to do the blessing? It's easy for me to say (my house wasn't haunted), but I would have asked for that as soon as I heard the warnings from the box.
During the blessing you mention God. Are you a Christian group, or do you have a particular religious orientation? On another one, I saw a Catholic priest.
@AuntFlo81 We did a blessing the first night there but things escalated and we did more intense blessing in January and Scott was murdered in February. The show had the time line all messed up. We did not know they were true warnings until the furnace fire and we then went into action to try and help Vicki and her family be safe
I was raised in the Church of Christ, baptized at 12 and taught Sunday school for awhile. We utilize things from various religious backgrounds.

@Jenny47130 It sounds like from what I saw that the being that was in the house was a manifestation of the anger that the patients at Henryton felt and they wanted their story to be known which may be why they followed the kids. The Ghost box was trying to help them, prepare them for what was to happen, make them wary. I'm not a ghost hunter but I do a lot of research on the paranormal and I've had experiences that have convinced me that there is an afterlife we've only begun to understand

I don't see it as "anger and hatred" but as prophesy. Why is forewarning negative. The dog was the oldest, the furnace malfunctioned and sadly their family friend was the victim of the worst type of violence, but knowing this in advance doesn't mean it was a vendetta, rather a shared prophetic knowing. It was psychic insight. Perhaps the ghost box is the family's spirit guide.

I never stated I felt the voice giving us the warnings were evil no I feel it was Vicki's late husband and he was trying to help them. I do believe that there was an evil influence in the home that killed the dog because the person we felt brought all of this home ( not Ashly) his lungs collapsed and he went into heart failure 2 days after the house blessing...the dog died from the some thing.

@Jenny47130 It may have been that nobody brought any of the spirits 'home', but rather became attracted to your daughter and/her friend because of their strong interest in the supernatural. Spirits make themselves known to me quite often, anywhere that I happen to be at, and I can tell you that there are a lot of them!!. They may even be more plentiful then the human poplulation itself.
@astrolifter Ashley is Vicki's daughter,my daughter Amber was present for the investigations because of being a team member. I have dealt with lots of spirit attachments and I believe that something did come home with them from Henryton because of another person staying in the house. Whatever it was did create an influence on the guy and it was not a nice entity either.
@mermaidlorelei One of the things that were not allowed to be shown because he was not included in the episode was a guy that lived in the house too named Brett we did discover he was going to Henryton by himself to meditate ( I still shake my head and go WTF) and after we did the house blessing he was STAT flighted to a hospital because he almost died of the same things the dog did.

I hold to the likelihood, as does Jenny the resident, in her response to me, posted here too, that the spirit is Vicki's late husband. Death is transition, not doom. Granted murder is horrendous but foretelling of it does not make the messenger malevolent.
@GaySingleMulatto Well, I did say 'perhaps', I don't know for certain. I don't necessarily trust spirits coming through on the ghost box, just as I don't trust ones coming through on the ouija. I can see your point though and you may very well be right.

@GaySingleMulatto Its ok, there's a lot about the field I still need to learn. You very well might be right. I have had a lot of personal experiences happen to me. For some reason I have episodic periods in my life when I see what I believe to be spirits. During these periods it feels like I'm being purposely harassed. After a lot of prayer and rebuking they usually go away. So this is why I'm so guarded about them perhaps..

This is just so... Unexplainable. I beleive in the paranormal probably just as much as you do, though I don't know much about it. Ok I am not religious, but lets say that I was, and that I believed in god. Was not god the creator of EVERYTHING? So when the person says "If you're not from god, you're not welcome in this house" what did god not make? And how would you know what a god did or did not make? And who made it if god did not?

We have always believed that the warnings came from Ashley's Dad not an evil and we also believe he knew that something very negative was in their home.
The voice on the ghost box didn't sound angry or evil. It was warning them of bad events that were coming. I'm surprised they didn't even consider the possibility that the entity could have been the dead father which the daughter had been trying to contact in the first place.

@femmefatale1990 At first we thought it was a negative entity trying to evoke fear in everyone but now we believe it was Lenny, Vicki's late husband trying to warn them to protect them.

I don't see it as "anger and hatred" but as prophesy. Why is forewarning negative. The dog was the oldest, the furnace malfunctioned and sadly their family friend was the victim of the worst type of violence, but knowing this in advance doesn't mean it was a vendetta, rather a shared prophetic knowing. It was psychic insight. Perhaps the ghost box is the family's spirit guide.

@GaySingleMulatto I agree! The show made it appear this way based on what your were allowed to see. I never stated I felt the voice giving us the warnings were evil no I feel it was Vicki's late husband and he was trying to help them. I do believe that there was an evil influence in the home that killed the dog because the person we felt brought all of this home ( not Ashly) his lungs collapsed and he went into heart failure 2 days after the house blessing...the dog died from the some thing.

@Jenny47130 Wow - so you're the actual resident and investigated candidate. Thank you for your response. Yeah: lung collapse and heart failure would make one think there is a darker presence at work. I'm so sorry for your difficulties. For the last year I've been under the presence of an "Entity", shaking my bed and causing severe head pressure pain, whom we believe is a murderer I researched for a screenplay. It's really disruptive. Ultra violet camera en route. Hopefully revealing him.

@Jenny47130 It may have been that nobody brought any of the spirits 'home', but rather became attracted to your daughter and/her friend because of their strong interest in the supernatural. Spirits make themselves known to me quite often, anywhere that I happen to be at, and I can tell you that there are a lot of them!!. They may even be more plentiful then the human poplulation itself.

@astrolifter Ashley is Vicki's daughter,my daughter Amber was present for the investigations because of being a team member. I have dealt with lots of spirit attachments and I believe that something did come home with them from Henryton because of another person staying in the house. Whatever it was did create an influence on the guy and it was not a nice entity either.

@mermaidlorelei One of the things that were not allowed to be shown because he was not included in the episode was a guy that lived in the house too named Brett we did discover he was going to Henryton by himself to meditate ( I still shake my head and go WTF) and after we did the house blessing he was STAT flighted to a hospital because he almost died of the same things the dog did.

@GaySingleMulatto Or perhaps the spirits that came through the ghostbox were in fact malevolent in nature trying to pose under the guidance of being helpful. You can never really know for sure. Its like letting a stranger into your home that you've never seen before..

@astrolifter This statement attributes the death(s) to the spirit, for which there is no evidence. I hold to the likelihood, as does Jenny the resident, in her response to me, posted here too, that the spirit is Vicki's late husband. Death is transition, not doom. Granted murder is horrendous but foretelling of it does not make the messenger malevolent.

@GaySingleMulatto Well, I did say 'perhaps', I don't know for certain. I don't necessarily trust spirits coming through on the ghost box, just as I don't trust ones coming through on the ouija. I can see your point though and you may very well be right.

@astrolifter I get quite emphatic about this topic and react adamantly to the ambiguity of "you can never really know for certain" because I believe you can know; by bringing in a clairvoyant psychic who confirms the origin of the information. @GaySingleMulatto Its ok, there's a lot about the field I still need to learn. You very well might be right. I have had a lot of personal experiences happen to me. For some reason I have episodic periods in my life when I see what I believe to be spirits. During these periods it feels like I'm being purposely harassed. After a lot of prayer and rebuking they usually go away. So this is why I'm so guarded about them perhaps..

This is just so... Unexplainable. I beleive in the paranormal probably just as much as you do, though I don't know much about it. I've never had many paranormal expearences, all exept for one night when I saw a girl with long black hair, Pale skin and Only a dot of yellow light were her eyes should have been standing outside my window. I had never been more scared in my life when that happened to me..

Ok I am not religious, but lets say that I was, and that I believed in god. Was not god the creator of EVERYTHING? So when the person says "If you're not from god, you're not welcome in this house" what did god not make? And how would you know what a god did or did not make? And who made it if god did not?
Sorry again Jenny, I know that the producers and directers love drama, after all how good would the show be if there were no ghosts! Good luck in the future...BOO! Scared ya!

Do not use a ghost box unless you know what your doing because you will make things worse!!
We have always believed that the warnings came from Ashley's Dad not an evil and we also believe he knew that something very negative was in their home.

The voice on the ghost box didn't sound angry or evil. It was warning them of bad events that were coming. I'm surprised they didn't even consider the possibility that the entity could have been the dead father which the daughter had been trying to contact in the first place.

sometimes i feel that my basement is haunted. no one likes going down there. like wen you step down there, you experience un-describable things in your emotions. you can just feel like your being watched. sometimes out of the corner of my eye i wil see a shadow or move or i hear something and dont believe it. i wont walk in my basement w/ out one of my dogs at my side. abt your video(s) i gave 5 stars for each :)
