There ia a great Machinima 101 FAQ with links to free aps for videomakers wanting to do machinima at The Quest 2 Change Real Life contest homepage, see Quest2ChangeRL [dot] com
lol... my only question is how do you edit across consoles; how would you create a set in, say, halo 3 and use it for a machinima? wouldn't you need to do that on a computer?
Soon everyone will be a movie director. Games are used in ways they weren't intended to be used. Are they? Anyway: there will be a whole lot of new movies being uploaded on sites like Youtube. The distance between artist and audience is going to be reduced. In Future it may also become some sort of imitation theater inside the games. Everyone will be director, actor, cameraman and screenplay writer. People might create interesting art this way. So let's give machinimas a chance.. =)
Oh that HAD to be one of the BEST Machinima I have ever watched - that last few seconds was hilarious - Killer work - and yes - that did blow my mind! ...this goes right into my favorites :)
what program did u use if it was 3d studio max(which i hav a trial of)how do you make them move and how do you make stuff move like their bodies.theres a "create character button but i dont know how.....if you can help me either AllenAames or Machinimated?
I used 3dsMax to create the characters and animations. Unfortunately there is not a "create characters" button. Check out www.3dbuzz.com for a ton of great VTMs about making machinima with Unreal.
Too sad it seems to be the only movie of this creators.
Does anybody know if the guys are still active?
