Another #1 hit for Freddie Hart on the Country & Western charts. It was the 245th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. It also hit #1 on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts. It was #1 at Christmas 1972. This was the first Christmas without my grandfather. He died suddenly on 8-16-1972. Besides farming, he also played the fiddle. Quite a man. We miss you, PaPa.
Ah yes, another song from the early 70s that a young Marine coming back from 'over there' listened to after being thrown to the wind a by a young Irish lovely...1971 to be precise, and still think about her...when my wife is not around of course...:)
I LOVE his way of singing this, this is SO PERFECT! I wonder if he's still alive? Can someone tell me if he is? I hope he is, he sings this so beautifully. :)
This is a hard song for other people to duplicate, I'm female, but I'm sure going to try and try again until I get the tune right Before I put this one up on my page. It will be female intead of male though, lol But that tune, Man, anyone who loves this song couldn't help but want to sing it ya know?
My beautiful mother passed away 5 yrs ago on Mothers Day and she raised her kids on the country classics of Freddie Hart,David Wills,Gary Stewart and others. These old classics really brings her memories back to me.
i love his music check this out ; i just walked through the front door and my angle was looking at me, tonight her temptation is burinig right out of me
I love this song by Freddie - and everything else he does. When he followed "Easy Lovin'" with this one I must have played the record 15 times in one day. Also "My Hang Up Is You" is another song so great with his special style. A very sexy voice and he has always looked so professional and classy in all his pictures and in his shows. Thanks for posting this. - Paula
