  • There is soooo much u could do with a soundtrack like this. Youre not even limited to fantasy, it goes with ANY ancient epic. You could make a Mahabharata one or an Iliad or Odyssey. Like BenHur to the 50s.Get a real visionary director who cares about the material (lets face it, the new conan guy was like a reject from clash of titans remake, and even tht sucked).youll have not only 1 of the most profitable but 1 of the greatest movies ever.

  • There was a time when a good movie had a great soundtrack, where what mattered was to entertain the audience with a great story, which did not matter if he was headed to an adult audience, this is one of those movies.

  • I love this song......ALOT

  • CROM be with you :D

  • HA! Crom laughs at your Four Winds!

  • That's so beautiful !

  • CROM!

  • Magnifique ...

  • Travelling around Skyrim on horseback listening to this. It feels amazing

  • @TwistedMetalLegion *Raises his hand, thus guilty of doing the same exact thing.* Only on foot. xD

  • THIS IS DA SHIZZ

  • This piece of music puts a picture in my head of beautiful mountains and hills. I love it! Good travel music!

  • I want to run about town with a plastic sword now.

  • i saw the new conan film last week, the film was ok. but god it really didnt have an amazeing soundtrack like this conan film had. wow this is f**king AMAZEING!!!

  • The new Conan movies lacks only in one thing: the music. Nothing more.

Basil Poledouris is the only man who could bring Hyborea justice!!

  • @Orklord90 soorry i clicked dislike by accident ;x how to undo still a mistery to me D:

  • He is Conan, the Cimmerian, he won't cry at how dissappointing the remake is. So i cry for him :,(

  • @RoughDivideVIII Arnold is the best for this role. :(

  • @RoughDivideVIII

    So very true.

  • @RoughDivideVIII epic quote lol

  • @RoughDivideVIII hahahahahahahaha great quote!

  • This is onw my favourite tracks, very subtle ,renaissance alike as it moves on, very mysterious and joyful concluding to series of notes which brings shivers at its end. Basil , rest in piece, this is a friend from the old country...

  • @gregtestagent Omfg!! YES!! xD

  • This score is OUT FREEKING STANDING!! put me in to a diffrent place.

  • Hollywood cowards do not want to piss off the elitists by remaking Casablanca and Citizen Kane

  • how in the hell can 5 people not like this masterpiece?

  • Also, I was farting around on FB and somehow found the "new conan" page.. and was like omg WOW until I actually watched a trailer. Yes I live under a rock.. a big one. Anyhow; I started to watch the trailer in excitement until about 4 seconds in and then I just sighed.. hearing cheesey "metal" riffs that suck and hastily edited trailer for the movie that seemed to want to mix Bill and Ted's Bogus adventure with Van Helsing (with Hugh Jackman) which was awful too. The music in the new version

  • was not classy sounding, the dialogue (which the original didn't have much of but still was amazing), seemed to have lines like "i'll follow you into hell" and "bow to your new master" which are about as inspired as cheeseless macaroni and cheese; and the costumes and villains looked like rejects from Waterworld (which was also a complete flop from hell). Even if you thought the original movie directed by John Millius was just an awful was of 2 and a half hours of your life;

  • @rodriguezmontiago i'm with you. this is going to be hard for us howard fans. ill still watch the new conan...but i wish hollywood would do a REAL conan movie. where conan is SMART, can speak most of the languages, and is (like in ALL the books) fully armored. not tarzan with a sword.

  • @1266west

Me too, i think we all wish they finally made one like that. On the other hand, while the Arnold´s Conan aint really Howards Conan, the movie was still great and had alot of stuff that made the Howards stories so enjoyable (at least the choreography, simple story, barbarian and the sword and sorcery is partially there). The new one looks like a typical Holywood action movie, but i still hope, that it might be decent. Well see in a few weeks :P

  • then you (if you have any sense of musical appreciation) have to know that at the very least the soundtrack to this movie will live on for centuries as probably the most epic that has ever been produced for a movie.

  • the new one is gonna be like all the other movies today way way way over the top and hollywood unrealistic just watch the commercial where there playing that same lame ass heavy rock and trying to make it look really cool and now all the people who havent read howards works or seen the first movie will think that thats what conans all about

  • @l3054 It's like they took Dracula 2000 approach to it. And did even worse.

  • The part from zero to 1:17 is unbelievable!!!!!!

  • They can make a re-make of this epic, but they can never replace it. Anything else is just a pale shadow of a truly great picture.

  • The perfect track for any fantasy game.

  • Musicka!

  • what is best in life?

TO CRUSH YOUR PRODUCERS, SEE THEM DRIVEN BEFORE YOU, AND TO HEAR THE LAMENTATION OF YOUR OVERPAID ACTRESSES.

  • 4 don't like WTF !!!

  • If your a metalhead check out the band Bal Sagoth.

  • anyone got this or other conan sheets, if possible other than piano. i have over 30 000 music sheets for different instruments, so if you want something too :).

  • This music is love. <3

  • Lower-mediocre movie, but one of the best soundtracks and themes in the history of film music. Modern scores just can't get even near this level.

  • @GrandElemental

You are right, but it really depends how you look at the movie. Its not Howard´s noble and wise Conan, but if you take it as comedy-action movie with low expectations its absolutely perfect. I´d say pure B class movie, not trying to look clever and stuff, making it pretty much superb.

  • Praise the late Basil Poledouris for composing such aliened yet beautiful music. It's neither western nor oriental sounds, but was so good to listen.........

  • Tão nostalgico...pena pensar que esses tempos nunca irão voltar, e que hoje em dia as coisas ficam cada vez mais fúteis e forçadas, vida longa ao rei, Conan!

  • long live Schwarzenegger!

  • good track to a do cross country run :D

  • This has got to be one of the tracks played when I'm in a Skyrim city trading with the local merchants. I'll trade you three dragon's teeth for that enchanted shield!

  • @gregtestagent fuck-yeah thats awesome. Yeah cant wait for that game.11.11.11.

  • @gregtestagent They arent THAT far behind. They do have currency

  • @gregtestagent got Anvil of Crom for when I start the game too

  • this track is so insanely good!

  • And they're making a remake of this masterpiece.

Fuck you, Hollywood, I want to hear the lamentation of YOUR women.

  • @Malaikat31 They won't succeed. I for ones will not be paying to see that. I rather buy 20 classic Conan DvDs, then pay to see a new one 1s. Any fan of Conan much like you and my self, feels insulted by this remake. Some, very unique movies should just be left alone as they originally were created. And this one, is on top 1 list. No actor will fit better for this roll then good'ol Arnie, and that too is the fact. NO ONE!

  • @Keelox100 Yet another idiot who doesn't acknowledge the existence of the Conan books. Listen up pally. How do you think fans of the novels felt when they made a movie about Conan? Just like you do right now. More Conan is always good. "Any fan of Conan" as you say, would WANT more Conan, and you're no true fan of Conan if you're going to judge the new Conan movie before even seeing it.

  • @ZedekOfLP101 Yet another idiot who doesn't achowledge the difference between books and movies. First of all, i don't read novels, and as far as i'm concerned, they can rewrite it 100 times, it wouldn't offend me one little bit. I watch movies, so when they remake a movie, that's my area, and that is the reason FOR ME to be upset. Besides, Conan novels were not rewritten, right? So novel readers are happy. You take take new Conan and shove it up your fucking ass ''Pally'' cause i won't watch it

  • @ZedekOfLP101 And stop posting insulting comments based on your disagreement. There's your opinion, and there is mine, i didn't ask you a fucking thing about what you like or dislike. You like novels? Fine. You hate original Conan MOVIE, because you are a fan of novels? Fine. Write a comment about it, and it will be your opinion, based on your taste asshole. But don't insult people for having theirs, cause it makes you look more imbecilic. Also, learn the difference between books and movies. Ass

  • @Keelox100 It's not an opinion that a true Conan fan wouldn't judge a movie he/she hasn't even seen yet. It's a fact. It's a ridiculous and incredibly narrow-minded thing to do, and judging by the post you just made which COMPLETELY missed the point of my post, I was right. I never said I liked the novels and hated the Conan movie. I merely gave an example of how a fan of the novels would feel about a movie being made; it's ridiculous, and you're doing the same exact thing. Sad.

  • @Malaikat31 lol

  • @Malaikat31 they are re making this song for the new movie ?

  • @Malaikat31 - Haven't you heard the lamentation of their women enough? Just look at all those.. shows..

  • @Malaikat31 Huhauahuauhuahhauuauhahu!!!

Boa!!! Eu também espero escutar a lamentação das mulheres desses malditos de Hollywood!!

    Namastê!!!

  • @Malaikat31 THEY'RE ALL SLUTS!

  • @monkeynuts76 Hey I was born in 76 as well!.. by the way,I think it was more like: "AARRGGHH SLUTS!!.."..

Contemplate this, on the tree of woe..

  • @Malaikat31 +9,000 xp be with you, honoured warrior!

  • @Malaikat31

I second that. I say, why not just make a brand new barbarian movie using one of the many other barbarian heroes? I could accept and even get to enjoy that. So, why mess with something as canon as Conan? Just to hook up on its fame and try to make money I say.

  • @MOCoutinho you pretty much answered yourself, because Conan is canon and well known, it doesnt need to be advertised that much, and alot of people will want to see it.

  • @Malaikat31 the first cry is by that pussy who plays the new ''Conan"

  • @Malaikat31 It's so intresting that people pours out hate each and every time something is "wrong" or "dosen't fit". Yeah, I got problems with most movies our the past five-ten years. But I think most of you people just know Conan through Conan The Barbarian 1982 movie, well... Then I you should shut up and listen:

  • This "New Conan" isn't a "NEW CONAN", yes it is a new actor who portrays as Conan, but, and this comes from a "fascist-like movie-criticizer" who criticize the most if movies based on literature fucks with both the plot and the characters. This new actor, this "New Conan", portrays Conan exactly as Conan should be. A Ravaging, Intolerant, Hyperactive, Male-Chauvinistic, Sexist-Barbarian Mother Fucker, but he is also a man with sense of honour, freedom and hate against slavery and oppression.

  • All of that I have said is the whole definition of Conan The Barbarian. And one other thing: It isn't a remake nor a reboot of the Conan The Barbarian 1982, yes both movies got the same plot with the death of Corin and such. There could be a thousand Conan the Barbarian movies with just the title "Conan The Barbarian" but it dosen't need to be a remake or reboot. How many THOUSAND Dracula movies haven't we got over the past century?! None of them is remakes. It's the same with Conan.

  • I meant "the same traits in the plot", not "the same plot".

  • @Orklord90 Yes, I have READ Howard. And yes, Milius' movie has little to do with it. But the point is, it's a damn good movie, one of my favourites, and I (without intention to brag) know a thing or two about cinematography. New film sucks monkey balls and is nothing more than summer blockbaster with nearly half of scenes done in 300-like crappy slowmotion. Point is: yes we now that Conan IS TEH BOOK OMG AND COMICS TOO ZOMGLOL, new movie sucks, and you are attention seeking ellitist.

  • @Malaikat31 I wonder who is the Attention-Fascist, the "alliterative" hate-provoker who doesn't listen to persons with other opinions or the tolerant one who just says his opinions without bashing the criticizers with words like "OMG" or "ROFL" or "NOOB" or what have you?! Yes, The 82 movie is one of the best movies ever made, I'm a huge Conan fan overall. Despite that Arnold doesn't fit the roll as Conan, he does more filling in the role of a Nordic Warrior, which was Milius intention.

  • @Orklord90 Arnold fit the role of someone in a real life situation of Conan. His education was cut short so that explains his aloofness, and social awkwardness - things he couldn't have been taught during his gladiator life. I haven't seen the new movie, nor will I. But the previews indicate that the new Conan actor, Joe Cool, doesn't fit the role of someone pushing a wheel for 10+ years, assuming this still happens in the plot.

  • @ASteveVaiFan what education has to do with aloofness and akwardness? last time i checked the extroverted party weed kids that suck at school might need some of aloofness or akwardness

  • @ASteveVaiFan The whole slavery angle isn't in the new movie, and given that he's left for dead after failing to save his father, his personality makes sense. He's a vengeful wolf on the prowl as opposed to an attack dog set lose on an unfamiliar world. However the new movie still suffers from bad writing, the fact that his personality is closer to the original stories by REH doesn't save it. It had a good first act, but as the movies on their own stand, the Arnold one is triumphant.

  • @Malaikat31 And yes, I do now to about Cinematography. Yes, the new film got flaws, as such it doesn't have any real fighting scenes, just clips overlapping with to much effects, that is true. Yes 80's Fantasy movies were much better then movies today or we could even say: The Best, that is my personal opinion. But bragging that it's a "New Conan", I mean the Conan character, is a false statement.

  • @Orklord90 dude lord of the rings is far superior to this and that's a modern movie

  • @cartoonkingforeever - Yet somehow the 1972 (or was it 74?) animated Lord of the Rings movies is far superior to the new ones~

  • @Zeithri are you insane? they didn't really fallow the book like the new ones did

  • @cartoonkingforeever - It followed it better than the new ones. The new ones took many liberties with the story. I know this from my ex who is a bigger LOTR geek than any other I have ever met.

  • @Zeithri It was in some respects. I thought the animated movie did the characters of Frodo and Aragorn much better justice than the live-action version. Though the Jackson movies did far better with the characters of Sam and Gandalf; both were too over-the-top in the animated version.

  • Over* the past five-ten years.

  • 2:39 to 2:49 !EARGASM!

  • This here, is what gave the inspiration for all those old school rpg sound tracks.

  • The dream is real!

  • This music sounds like The Elders Scrow iv soundtrack.

  • @GusrjcBR

    Not really?

  • I grew up there with this movie, this music.

    Immortal legend.

  • oooooh yess jaja

  • This is not hagga!

  • @1266west Would I sell hagga to a slayer such as you?

  • would I sell hagga to a slayer such as you?

  • @rodriguezmontiago

Chew slowly! It's the GOOD STUFF!!!

  • Conan: He is strong! If I die, I have to go before him, and he will ask me, "What is the riddle of steel?" If I don't know it, he will cast me out of Valhalla and laugh at me. That's Crom, strong on his mountain!

Subotai: Ah, my god is greater.

Conan: Crom laughs at your four winds. He laughs from his mountain.

Subotai: My god is stronger. He is the everlasting sky! Your god lives underneath him.

  • A Movie like a Hurricane, Music from outer Space. Wonderful...

  • the three dislikes will have time to contemplate their ignorance on the tree of woe.......CRUCIFY THEM!

  • i pray to crom :)

  • Fallout 3 has comic book series about Conan The Barbarian. When you read it, it immediately raises your melee-skills by 1... Now i know where they i have taken it.

  • @WSAP33 Grognak?¿ xD

  • @Endika81 Yeah, have you read the stuff in the credits? I couldnt read all, i was a bit slow, but it said something like being a parody (or something) and thanks cus somebody really liked the movie. :D

  • @456024545 you can get a dvd for like 7 or 8 bucks at wal-mart. However, it also has Conan the Destroyer bundled with it; which in no way lives up to the epicness that Conan the Barbarian is.

  • 3 people will be cast out of Valhalla by Crom and laughed at.

  • @Abobojo ...and will piked!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheHornedReaper666 The fact that you did'nt get I was quoting Arndold from the movie means ignorance would be an imrpovement on you.

    1. Yes Crom is Celtic, the Celts did'nt have Valhalla

    2. Arnold was frikkin AWESOME when he said it (he always is)

    3. Stone decided to change that for the movie forwhatever reason

    4. you're dismissed

  • Esta película es buenissima!!

  • Thanks for posting .. the music says it all

  • this track make me to smile and feel happy! :)

  • @Polaris688 As nerdy as I may sound, play Dungons and Dragons. Trust me when I say, you and you're feinds will have the adventure of a life time.

  • Conan should not be remade ever let it live on in it greaness forever. No one can pull it of it will be doomed from the start. I pity the poor soul that is crushed by Crum!!

  • @Polaris688 agreed, i would leave this life and never look back! Roaming Hyboria and crushing our enemies, seeing them driven before us, and hearing the sweet lamentation of their women!! Ahhh the life

  • @Polaris688 Oh yes.

  • @Polaris688

    Yep.

  • Basil Paledouris is phenomenal.

Too bad movie scores these days are all rehashed nonsense.

  • Comment removed

  • Basil Poledouris laughs at your four winds.

  • These musics make the Conan's movies more classic!

  • this songs reminds me of that one special friend in our lives, that comes & goes...and never heard from them agian...

  • 3 idiots dislike this music...

  • @skylinecapajev007 well, SCREW'em!!!!! They're IDIOTS and just don't know good music when they hear it!!!!!!

  • @julaibeeb:xDDDD

  • this is the best!

  • i found this music to be one of my favorite songs or whatever its called but it also seems a bit creepy in some way..... makes me think of really really old days from before i was born..........

  • muu bonica :D .... . Engrandece un pelicula ya de por si redonda

  • heeee.....

  • "My God is the everlasting sky, your God lives beneath him lol."

  • Im in love with this song >.<

  • best movie everrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

  • Ah, my favorite.

  • i would be the greatest conan. if i would be increased in size like by 20% :D

  • ''To what gods are you praying?''

  • Arnold should ask "To what gods are you praying" to congress! @Nelafix

  • i feel like riding into battle with samurai armor and a katana

  • I always play this when I'm inside a village on my medieval RPG. =D It's so magical when I play it with this song. ^^

  • Oh my God, this is GORGEOUS! I thought I had heard every track from the Conan movies, but this is totally new to me. I think it's the prettiest of them all, actually. I feel like I'm soaring over a verdant meadow, or maybe watching a beautiful group of dancers. What a find! Thank you so much for posting this, and for linking it to the others.

  • @iffysam Very soothing, isn't it? I like to ponder things that need pondering over with this in the background :)

  • "Crom laughs at your Four Winds."

  • I don't know how i am going to watch this new conan movie with such a great soundtrack. And a skinny conan :(

  • OMG. I.. just love this kind of music, especially this one! Lov. :D

  • This a soundtrack of a french-audio saga : The dunjeon of Naheulbeuk

  • this music would best suit zelda orcarina of time, hyrule field or when walking around a village. when the music speeds up i picture link on his horse galloping across a wide open field.

  • @skateboardsteve409 Yeah it would. :D

  • This Song makes me think of... a feast at King Conan's castle, ppl dancing, enjoying the feast and all that; and Conan sitting on his throne, giving a short smile to the whole scene.

Or: Conan on horseback, riding into the sunset... with Valeria by his side [too bad she's dead :(, never liked that scene ]

  • @OhStylo King Conan with Queen Valeria are in a sunny courtyard watching their kids playing and Conan knows that soon they will have to learn the Riddle of Steel, but not today.

  • Maybe this is called "civilazation" but it always made ME think of unravaged nature more than cities and prosperity.

  • magic

  • probably the most beautiful song in the whole soundtrack

  • Basil just did it. WOW!

  • One of the best movie themes ever!

  • Great music such as this, stirs the soul, the heart, and the mind, in a way that transposes the listener to another place and time; to become one with the music.

  • Best song in a movie, evar!

  • you can find this melody in Aquaria - Firewings too

  • aahhhhhhhh, so cool, i love this melody, sorry i am german, but everytime i will hear this melody, i nearly start to cry. so awesome.....

  • I agree completely! I love this music.

  • @Wizard100100

    yop ziemlich geil dieser track
