  • is this bonus clip?

  • people, all the glue can be replaced with thin, melted pine pitch glue, more natural.

  • what oil did you use on the wood?

  • @xMrjamjam linseed oil, it's what you use to preserve wood.

  • @flamedrag18 what would you use on metal to preserve it from rust?

  • @xMrjamjam I'd put a light layer of wax or if you have it available, maybe some clear polyurethane.

  • @flamedrag18 ok thanks :)

  • talking of birch bark,as you do, i found an old rotting birch tree waste high,i pushed it over, hit the outside with a stick, the rotting wood fell out, and i was left with a birch bark tube which you can easily make a bucket or container out of ! ahaaa enjoy! i must get out more! thanks ray great channel!

  • Very nice, can I use resin instead of glue?

  • @scavenski haha well it would be excellent to burn if you really needed it!

  • looks like a toilet paper role

  • what knife is that with which you prepare the bungs?

  • I really think Ray would be completely distraut if the world was without birch bark. I honestly love how versitile it is, as well. I just wish I had more birch in my neck of the woods.

  • Clever.

  • @giutoniolo You're welcome!

  • Awesome! :D but how to ignite the matches ..(on the bark ??!)

  • @vek0zzzz those were light anywhere so you could light those on your teeth if you had to.

  • Great video Ray. Keep them coming, I love the little knick knacks you know how to make.

  • And glue the striking surface of the box, to the outside or lid; more videos please.

  • You could use Birch-Tar, instead of glue, of course.

  • Really appreciate the upload Woodlore! This video is perfect, The Background, the sound of the birch being cut, The music. Perfect!
