The song's written from the point of view of a man complaining about his negligent, promiscuous wife. To me, the usage of the word Dick is to be taken at surface value. I believe she's referring to the phallus here.

This has always been a powerful track. I have known this song since 1980 when I was 10. It's played as a tragicomedy and signified here with the male/female reversals. Listen to the lyrics and it's quite a sad story. I love this song
