Have one of these. Battery that came with it was crap. So I put my LiPo in it and pretty much cooked the motors and melted the plastic bits that connect to the prop shafts. Now useless as it was anyway.

I just bought 1 but my stock twin engines are 390 and mine goes heaps faster only thing is take long to charge battery only lasts Like 10 min only after a 8 hour charge

my left motor just burnt out after a few runs thing only goes in circles now....the battery life sucks realy bad only last maybe 5 min at full speed....its had no speed control...its a piece of shit...def not what i thought it was...i want my fuckin money back...i recomend no one to buy this boat....unless your gonna replace everything and just use the body.

if you get a 9.6v battery from radioshack you can speed it to 15-20, a 7.2v 3300 you can get half an hour of use.

I'm gonna make one of these run about 63MPH

The set up is: KB45 1800KV Brushless motor; 100Amp Speed controler and a 6s1p 4500mAmp batery pack.

is this a hull abs or fiberglass? are you sure it can take the speed?

It is abs, but i strengthened it w/ fiberglass. I've allready reached the mark of 44,5mph. I changed the esc to one of 200Amp.

got mine to go faster with larger battery 3000 ma nmhi and foam in front solid 8 mph on radar gun. With a lipo and trim tabs I suspect 10 to 11.

you could put more power through ya motor or use brushless,i use lipo battrys which do the job

I got my son one exactly the same for Xmas, 4 runs and the left motor burnt out and died, now it only goes around in circles!!! guess you get what you pay for - Chinese rubbish.
