has a large pump, and with the power functions, it has a small pump. Am I correct?

Don't have it assembled anymore and didn't look on that.

Perhaps it was just what was available form the supplemental motor kit...

@Zblj1987 Usually, because the pumping do not stop and pressure rises. If you stop the pumping while not using air (during operations stops), then does not kick in. Procedure: with stoped pumping raise the desired lever, start pumping and stop it at the level desired. To lower crane arm, just move very slowly the lever (with stoped pump); the weight and the gravity will do the work. All these need some practice, but you can finally perform a smooth operation.
