hey my psp got wet and worked fine, then i tried to charge it and it woldnt so i tookl the battery outand put it back in then it woldnt even turn on, i packed it in rice and plugged it in tonigght and the hold light was working dinly so i fiddled with it till it turned on the battery stayed at %0 charge though and when i unplugged it it woldnt turn back on but the hold light is still working (very faintly) so do i need a new switch and battery? or what?

btw I only get an orange chrage light when plugged in with battery, i can replicate the green light by doing this video but unit wont turn on, I did check and reseated the lcd ribbon cable, as well as under the cage the ribbon cable there too (confirmed all were seated fully) just can't seem to figure out why unit wont turn on...

I mean taking it into a repair shop for this is going to cost you 50-150 dollars . . . so why not do it yourself. Those people in the shop may know a little more but not hard to take apart a psp. . . And if the shop breaks your psp they make you sign a waver that there not responsible. So in any case your psp is broken, and if the shop breaks it your still not getting a new psp.
