Most of us go to a place or someone who we think can make it all go away and i think that's where Naomi was. She didn't really get over it she was just acting like she didbc something like that you never get over. I think Naomi was just that depressed that she pretty much lost it. From Season 1- halfway through 3 Naomi was evolving into a deeper, developed character. However after the rape storyline the wriiters needed to get her character fun again so they turned her in a stereotypical ditz. I liked Max with her at first but the stereotypes of "nerd and popular girl" became so laughable it was hard to watch after a while.

The way the storyline played out , it seemed as though putting him in jail made everything better, which is never how it works in life. I think that if you are going to work with a storyline like this, you need to be responsible/respectful of the subject matter as it is a very sensitive/important issue.

I simply wouldn't have wanted to watch a show where Naomi couldn't ever be intimate with guys and there was a constant awkward tension because she was the girl who got raped. With anything dark on a show, if you drag it out for longer than a season it destroys the characters involved.

For me though, it's not the amount of time spent or number of episodes as much as the way they utilized their time. Multiple aspects of her rape/trauma seemed shallow or forced, or even, at times, manipulated by the writers to produce incongruous events solely to further the plot.
@JermzzzyFTW Looking at Charlotte King's case in Private Practice, they were able to effectively represent multiple aspects of rape trauma truthfully and respectfully, as well as tie other characters' plots to hers neatly, and keep the drama exciting, in about 8 episodes. Naomi's case lasted about 14 episodes (not including her false claim) and they reaaly only managed to effectively talk about 1 rape trauma issue.

That's not necessarily true. That is merely an observation and it can be seen. Your the girl who cried the wolf - actually it's a story about a girl who screamed saying "wolf wolf!" just for the fun of it. And when the villagers came to her rescue she laughed at them saying that she fooled them. But in the next day when she found herself infront of an actual wolf the villagers nor a single person showed up because they thought she was lying. When she actually wasn't. sorry- what I meant was that in the UK where I live the episode: LIARS: episode 12 is broadcasting on that date January 24th- BUT I watched the whole of SEASON 3 upto episode 11 ONLINE (*Didn't watch it on tv) and it doesn't go any further than episode 11 so I don't know what happens in the next episode 12 because they haven't been uploaded yet :S what a cliffhanger- lets just hope that Cannon finally gets arrested.

That's the point, an english guy with all what he believes in and they way he sees things and mocks from a long-life-british perspective. And then falling for the queen bee, Naomi Clark which ends so fast before even knowing it

@patricia09091 yes he raped her.it was one of the storylines of the first part of this season which although was a bad thing to happen but was a good idea because it showed the good sides of Jen & Oscar who are characters that we loved to hate.Jen who pissed off Liam & Naomi on seperate occasions last season was almost gonna kill Cannon after finding out he raped Naomi and Oscar who almost ruined Ivy's relationship with her mom,helped Naomi prove to the cops that Cannon's a rapist
