Ugh, this version of the video has been butchered. The two dudes kiss in the real video. It's the point of the song/video. The meek kid is in love with the badass dude. "Ive been a friend with unbiased views, but then secretly lust after you." The chick leaves at the end because she knows the kid is in love with him. Kinda stupid to edit the video. It was just a kiss.
