I attended a house party in MI. We are really fired up. We will work tirelessly to get him elected. As Americans we will benefit greatly once he's the next POTUS!
Under Obama's plan, everyone will be taxed more on any profit (Capital gains). If you sell a house, condo, car, coin etc at a profit, those profits will be taxed at approx 28 to 30% under obama's plan. They are currently taxed at 15% which is McCain's plan. This affects anyone that has a profit on anything, not just "rich people". Do you discuss this at your house parties?
There are things you would need to sacrifice, and people aren't exactly selling houses and property left and right. The average person isn't a real estate tycoon. Obama's plan is far better then McCain's. You would still profit, and that small thing isn't what Obama's campaign is about. It's about unity and actually uniting this nation. And taxes = greater good for the nation.
First he promised he would accept public financing , if and only if, mccain did so as well. Well McCain did, and then Obama decided to reneg on his word.
Second, Obama, unlike McCain, censors unfavorable youtube posts, which makes me think that hes not really interested in hearing what everyone has to say but rather in manufactuing the appearance of unity and hope where actually a large percetage of people remain highly dubious.
masterj, first you should learn how to spell correctly.
Now about BO's "duality" - there is none. The public financing story is sooooo minor. BO decides to continue receiving money from his supporters (as far as I'm concerned THAT IS public financing) so what??? However McCain is simply a LIAR. Voted against the GI Bill to help our wonderful troops; the two weeks later pretended the bill was one of his ideas! Did you know that McBush voted against raising the minimal wage? Hope you're rich.
Awesome, this man is doing amazing things, and we are only two days short of being a full month since he clinch the nomination...McCain has been the republican nominee sicne Feb 2008, and what has he done for his party...
i've had a wonderful conversation with my General Manager at work about Obama... it was great discussing this with him, to think we're not even Americans and we don't live in the US.. we're hoping that he will bring an enormous change once he's in the office
The Obama people are very good at marketing. Who doesn't want to change. It seems a dynamic thing. But two things are against Obama. He is a political lightweight and the Clintons are still in town.
Great! Everybody needs to get involved, get registered & VOTE so we can prevent another George W. Bush from getting into office. America can't survive another 4 years of McBush! FightTheSmears. com
CANADA FOR OBAMA. I'm an American and Canadian citizen who has grown up and currently lives in Canada. A poll showed that if a vote was taken in Canada, Obama would get a landslide 90% victory. The Canadian populace is educated and intelligent. They have a lot in common with Americans and this stat is good news for Obama supporters.
Wow what that lady said about once she had a kid i fill the same way. I have a 17 month son and another due in November. And all tho i don't agree with every thing Obama says i believe he is the only choice. Change yea Change i can believe in.
1. Obama should do a lot more question and answer sessions, like at the recent Latino conference. Let him get asked tough questions by the public more often - he is perfectly capable of answering them well.
2. Obama is now the de facto leader of the Democratic party. It would be very effective to see him take charge and actually get things done. Congressional approval ratings are, as always low, so be seen to sit key members of the party down and get things done.
That's is a complete lie. Go to any McCain ad and you'll see an enormous amount of ageist comments and Obama '08 comments. Lets at least be honest here.
With the number of racist or just generally vulgar commentators that come to YouTube in hordes, approving comments is a good idea. Besides, every YouTube account has the right to limit what comments appear and what doesn't. You come to my house, freedom of speech is going to give you the right to tear down my family while your there. Same principle.
I live in Virginia, a state that hasn't gone Democratic in a presidential election since Lyndon Johnson. And there are plenty of educated professional people here, not just students, who are in this game for the long haul to make certain Barack Obama is our next president. He has profoundly affected the process already in such a positive way!
Attention. The last poster calls himself Asylum. don't call minorities un-educated, because their uphill climb from a closed minded society is more education then you'll ever get. Jealous?
Today, 06-28-08, is my first day on YouTube. I am not a Barack Obama supporter, but I listened to his message in the above video and it made sense to me. I have been following the 2008 Presidential election for over a year now and I am disappointed with all of the candidates. For me honesty and being upright, by God's standards, is what people should be striving to do. It's hard for many, but that is the right standard to follow.
Well, any way Obama's message above was very positive.
I have never seen Americans so excited about an election before. Barack Obama delivers politics of the future-today, and McCain delivers more of the same politics of the past. Americans are so excited because we have never before seen such an extraordinary candidate like Barack Obama before.
Best of luck Mr Obama - it's been too long since I've seen people actively getting involved with an election. Maybe if things don't work out you could run for PM in the UK, we need some change.
Barack, thank you for focusing on Energy Independence. Every single day, we are sending Billions of American citizen's dollars over to the Middle East and other foreign countries. Americans have less money and the enemy has more money. We need to stop importing oil! Whether it be more drilling at home or electric cars, we need energy independence!
This is the way all of America should work.

Obamas duality is what concerns me.
