  • hans zimmer is god

  • At 6:58 maybe most epic OST !! Zimmer will be not forget in 2 centuries !

  • Playing this song during arkham city is sensational.

  • nice coat.. :)

  • After listening to this epic..It makes me feel like I wanna go and play Batman Begins (the videogame) again now.

  • @csscadestompp Yes, he hopefully saved Batman. That's Why I'm proud of being a Batman fan

  • I wanna thank Christopher Nolan (In film) and Neal Adams (In comic book) for giving us a dark, human and serious Batman

  • @MutantsInDisguise don't forget Frank Miller (especially Batman: The Dark Knight Returns) !!!

    [csscade_stompp]

  • 9:01 hate that part so much guys

  • The actual Batman theme music starts at 6:58

  • Can you tell me where I can download this version of this? I know its from the end credits but it is not on the album version. Thanks

  • @ MODERNGAMES2 - 100% true !

  • 3:47 - excellent choon!

  • Batman Begins kind of bored me; Dark Knight was great though!

  • @CYBERDOODY opposite for me.

  • @Destro7000 how? Dark Knight was way better. Better action scenes, more interesting characters. Begins in my opinion was pointless; it was really overrated at the time and still is now. I avoided it because I didn't think we needed a whole film about how Batman was created. Its an okay film and it certainly isn't Batman and Robin which is good!

  • @CYBERDOODY I preferred Batman Begins, the 2nd movie didn't really have a good feel to it.

  • @Destro7000 hmm... okay...

  • 8:09 i hope they bring this motif back for the 3rd movie since it should come full circle for bruce wayne / batman!

  • Why do we fall?

  • @josedewish2011 cuz we're stupid

  • @josedewish2011 So we can learn to pick ourselves back up.

  • @josedewish2011 We Fall, so that we can learn to pick back up ourselves Alfred!!

  • back then it would say "it begins in imax" now it would say "it begins in 3D"

    *facepalm*

  • Love the start of this

  • "If you make yourself more than just a man,

If you devote yourself to an ideal,

And if they can't stop you,

    You become something else entirely,

    A legend

This is exactly what Cristiano Ronaldo has become

  • @Shelby902101 yeah, he's a legend in his own mind. hahahahahahaha

  • Batman Begins > The Dark Knight

    I would say:

    Begins 10/10

    TDK 9/10

  • @orton305 why??? batman begins was boring IMO, not as much action as TDK

  • @orton305

How about we stop this better nonsense and say they're both freaking fantastic

  • @orton305 I have to say I preferred the Dark Knight, But Batman begins was still fantastic. If anything, Batman Begins did give a better feel to Gotham city than the Dark Knight, as it felt like a more corrupt place in Batman Begins and more in need of saving. However, I preferred the Joker story line in TDK, despite how good Batman Begins was, so overall I have to side with TKD

  • @orton305 Have to say, you are absolutely right. I think TDK was too much of an event movie that Nolan screwed up a little in terms of character development. At least it didn't suck as much as Inception.

  • @Wyzzkyd yeah i thought i was the only person who didnt like inception

  • @orton305 Nope for me. TDN > Batman begins. The villain has much more charisma

  • @raulolmos Yes, the Ledger was brilliant in TDK (even though Liam Neeson was still very good as Ra's). However, as a Batman movie, I prefer Begins because I love the way they involve fear and it was much darker overall imo.

Anyway, they're both amazing films. This sure is Batman's golden age, at least when it comes to films and videogames :P

  • @orton305 ROFL everyone is entitled to their opinion I suppose

  • Does anyone know what the music that starts from 1:30 is?

  • @rogueagentaa Eptesicus - Batman Begins soundtrack. It's one of the best one... Ra's Al Ghul training Bruce.

  • @sc2gu Thanks - really appreciate your help!

  • Comment removed

  • Batman Begins holds up to repeat viewing better than Dark Knight imo. Dark Knight...I pretty much just end up fast forwarding to the Joker parts.

  • somebody! WHATS THE TRACK CALLED THAT STARTS AROUND 5:50! ITS FUCKIN AMAZING!!!

  • "I wont kill you....

but I don't have to save you...."

  • Comment removed

  • wear a headphone and listen to the first part of the song it will go like left right left right the sound !@

  • this movie should have been called batman vs darkman

  • @coderspider thats a horrible name :/

  • @coderspider uhm... why?

  • @coderspider AAAAAH Good one :D

  • 1:30 - 3:15 = Goosebumps

  • my favorite batman movie.

  • Comment removed

  • Probably the only movie I sat through the credits for in the cinema. So Amazing.

  • 8:07 Just sings "I"M THE GODDAMN BATMAN!"

  • to repeat just type the word "repeat" in the url after the word youtube and your browser should bring you to another site that will automatically replay the video endlessly- enjoy an infinity of beauty!

  • Hans Zimmer

All my Favorite Movies have Han's music

I play MW2, and he made OST for THAT

These movies and video games would make no sense without his MUSIC,

I imagine you watching Gladiator or King Arthur, Kingdom of Heaven without his music

HANS ZIMMER is the world hero that doesn't need a mask, he is the LIGHT KNIGHT

  • @MODERNGAMES2 Kingdom of Heaven was not Zimmer.

  • @oakland5353 Well, still he is Great

  • @MODERNGAMES2 For sure. I like Pirates, Inception, and the Rock, and the Lion King soundtracks the best.

  • @MODERNGAMES2 hans zimmer was not alone. a thanks should be given to james newton howard

  • @ahmedniaz5

Yes. James Newton Howard is a much better, more insightful composer than Hans Zimmer, imo. Every Zimmer score sounds the same. BIG DRUMS, GIGANTIC PERCUSSION, going for the wow factor. JNH however, can work in any style, from horror/suspense to Disney swashbuckling (aka Signs, Treasure Planet), always writes a beautiful and recognizable theme, always something different yet magical in its own right, and never seems to get any credit. And it's a shame, because he's totally the man.

  • @Fretglider041

Now you name JNH, but I only know he's done Hidalgo and WaterWorld. These scores are good, but they're not special and definetely not recognizable. Hans Zimmer's scores are different. I don't see any comparison between The Last Samurai and the Gladiator. Hans Zimmer is also doing lots of different movies, he's done Simpsons the movie and last year he's even done a score for Winnieh the Pooh. POTC4 music is also very new and special. JNH is good, Hans the best!

  • @wakuwaku333666

Zimmer has not written any music for Winnie the Poo within the last year. His work on the Simpsons Movie was a rearrangement of Danny Elfman's original work on the franchise. JNH has scored everything M Night Shaymalan has ever done. This includes Signs and the Sixth Sense, both of which have fantastic scores. He did such Disney greats as Atlantis and Treasure Planet, both scores of which are better than most of Zimmer's entire catalogue (and vastly different from the previous).

  • @wakuwaku333666

He has also done movies like Peter Jackson's King Kong, Spacejam, Dinosaur (fantastic score on that one), and others of course. His range of style is massive, vastly superior to Zimmer's. AND, he usually works alone, whereas Zimmer uses a ton of ghost writers and does so much collaborative work. JNH>HZ, anyday.

  • @MODERNGAMES2 more like a music knight!

  • @MODERNGAMES2

You know Zimmer didnt do Kingdom of Heaven. That was Harry Gregson-Williams, the same guy who did work on the MGS series and COD4.

  • It surprises me that a lot of people don't know that The Dark Knight was actually a sequel.

Anyway, I loved this movie. Nolan and his brother make a great writing team (if they're not the only writers, forgive my ignorance) and i value writing above anything else in a movie.

  • Math Homework has never been so epic

  • @micah960 ;p woot ^

  • This is bone chilling, this really does make you want to find "The Will to Act"..... god i love Hans Zimmer

  • Batman is great because he is not easy to define. He saves people, yes. he does it by himself (ideally) without endangering others, he believes in the goodness of every person. Yet, he is also a control-freak, as he has been known to spy on people to protect them. He's also a criminal (if you look at how badly he injures offenders and causes damage to public property). And yet, he is the hero. He represents the US because he's a rogue imposing his values on others, while "saving" them.

  • @Regenmacher175 Dude, you're just describing DC.

  • @Regenmacher175 They could give you an apple, and you would complain about it's color...

  • no k holmes was not

  • motivationnnnn music

  • the dark knight and batman begens end credits are different

  • @Jdubinc1 Dark Knight's end theme had a quicker tempo to it if I recall correctly.

  • does anyone know what the name of the song is called from 5:48 to 6:58?

  • @haloman80 That soundtrack is actually used in the Dark Knight, try looking up "Dark Knight Soundtrack: Agent of Chaos" Hope that helps.

  • There is a simpleness to this that reflects the relative simpleness of all of Batman Begins to The Dark Knight. While The Dark Knight was meant to be a mammoth of a tale, Batman Begins had it's own type of beauty due to how refined it was in comparison. I am not saying one approach is better, I just think it's interesting how the musical progression mimics the progression of the movies in general. Given the ever-increasing complexity of the movie for Dark Knight Rises, the trend should continue.

  • i listen to this music i feel batmans wrath!.....a legend!

  • hans zimmer is a genious.

  • betman FTW, begins and darkknight were bloody brilliant, just what batman needed after the cliche silly films from before. i loved them both and i cannot w8 for the 3rd, (although i am unsure who will be the villians, i keep eharing different people). the soundtracks for all of them are incredably inspiring, especialy this one :)

  • Its not who i am underneath, but what i do, that defines me.

  • 2:55 it was you're father's death

  • @aks19880 no it was your father´s fault

  • my favorite part is 1:25-3:42

  • im batman

  • when people think of genius, they may think of physicists, mathematicians, biologists, sculptors, or painters.

To me, music is the definition of genius and this theme is a prime example.

  • @PsychoSciFi well said.

  • This is just so GREAT

  • I want this track but I don't know where to get it some one please let me know I would very much appreciate it thanks!

  • @Emapten type youtube converter in google m8

  • "I never said thank you"....."And you'll never have to"

  • "If you make yourself more than just a man,

If you devote yourself to an ideal,

And if they can't stop you,

    You become something else entirely,

    A legend"

I feel this line sums up the entire Nolan Batman trilogy

  • Danny Elfman over Hans Zimmer? Elfman has some nice works: Batman, Edward scissorhands, but Zimmers lion king score pwns all

  • @davedirector7 debatable Love and respect both composers bringing scores that fit the picture, I love their soundtracks, but their music must help tell the story and compliment the film at the same time. I love Hanz but I think inception was a tad over scored I think they are both completely different in styles if you ask me, like comparing oranges with apples.

  • anyone else agrees that Katie Holmes was the best rachel?

  • @HenTodolo No. Maggie Gyllenhaal is a more capable actress. Katie Holmes had occasional flashed of promise, but Tom Cruise put the kibosh on that. Katie Holmes will never be the actress that Nicole Kidman is, or have the success, and I believe that's by design unfortunately. I don't think Cruise envisioned that Kidman would will and Oscar before he would when he first hooked himself up with Nicole.

  • @HenTodolo To be fair though, I think Holmes did a decent job in the film, but was probably the weakest part of the film when you consider that she had to share screentime with established veterans like Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Tom Wilkenson, Liam Neeson, and others.

  • @jstephenj I agree. All I'm saying is that she is better than the Rachel in the Dark Knight (don't remember her name)

  • @HenTodolo Maggie Gyllenhaal.. Yeah, Katie Holmes was the much better Rachel. No doubt about it. I think they chose Maggie Gyllenhaal though, because they thought she was the actress who looked the most like Katie Holmes. Although I'd have to say that Katie Holmes has a more softer and more pleasant face to look at, to be honest.

  • @jstephenj when she slaps Bruce, total fail either the sound department or Katie Holmes

  • @jstephenj I felt her and bale had horrible chemistry, maybe her see through nipples in that purple top was the only reason batman came to save her :P

  • @HenTodolo only because she was hot

  • @HenTodolo I think both work as Rachael personally. Katie Holmes played Rachael as the helpful girl next door mixed with just starting out fresh as a D.A. and ready to battle crime. In The Dark Knight, Gyllenhal works as Rachal because she's a bit worn down at this point in appearance and emotionally because she's really entered the underworld of Gotham, mixed with keeping Bruce's secret and him wanting to be with her but she wants to stick with Harvey in more regular waters

  • @HenTodolo your only saying that because she was hotter

  • @HenTodolo Katie Holmes could of been in the second one, but fucking Tom Cruise ruined that chance for her by impregnating her

  • @HenTodolo your only saying that cause she was hotter

  • @MrBdoggghomes lol. No :P She was, but no that´s not the reason.

  • @HenTodolo YES!

  • @HenTodolo I do. I can't believe she was nominated for a Razzie for this role. That was absurd.

  • @jessc1979 It might have to do with the Razzie's criteria in giving out their rewards. Usually, it's given for bad performances by a leading actor in a lousy film. I'm not sure if it's ever given to actors who underperform in decent films though. i think part of the reason why she's so panned is because her role seemed tacked on, as if to provide Bruce Wayne a love interest to spar with, and the fact that Holmes was acting alongside heavyweights like Oldman, Neeson, and Caine.

  • @jstephenj she wasnt even that bad though performance wise, it was just the whole "tomkat" overexposure that year that was the cause of the nomination

  • Absolutely love the combination of these 2 masters! Thanks :-)

  • From 3:41 to 5:41 Makes Me Love rachel Even Morew Than I Already Do.

  • ok who are the 14 deaf people

  • I carnt believe you all!! Hans Zimmer is great but James Newton Howard is also great he created Blood Diamonds soundtrack (which was epic) so dont just praise Hans it was a 2 man job......

  • @AssassinSi Indeed. That's why both soundtracks in the last Batman movies are epic.

  • @AssassinSi both are great, but Hans is fucking amazing. Thats why they just talk about him.

  • Batman Begins credits > TDK credits

  • I play and listen to this in the background when I'm playing Batman: Arkham Asylum and will be doing the same for Arkham City!

  • @DamianHowardTV best.. idea... ever .____.

  • Hans Zimmer is a god, end of story. And I love this movie, I just wish I could slap that Rachel something fierce. All she does is fuck with Bruce. Ridiculous.

  • 4:50 Katie Holmes T_T

    The Dark Knight's only imperfection

  • so nice music zimmer the magic!!!!!!!!

  • @philoulemaitre999 what about newton howard why is he not given credit?

  • When i hear the first 3 beats of this music i always yell "play the film again!!"

  • This is the best piece for a dark character, such as BATMAN... He is true justice, to give criminals a taste of their own medicine... FUCK YEAH!! THUMBS UP!

  • This Batman Begins is so much better than dakr knight.

  • This soundtrack is so much better than "Dark Knight". I assume its because Hans Zimmer didn't control this soundtrack as much . I have a thing against Hans Zimmer's percussion...its redundant garbage.

  • I'm buying this Hotel and setting some new rules about the pool area... haha classic

  • begins>dark knight. with begins you can feel it was handled with care not to go overboard but with the dark knight they thought "fuck it the sheep will eat it up." and well, yeah.

begins is a great solid movie. love it!<3

  • @EclipseHedgehog i agree, begins is an awsome movie, it completly changed the way of making comic book heros movies, i respect your oppinion but i think the dark knight is better than begins.

  • @joaopescusa Dark Knight is not a better story, and film than Batman Begins. Infact,I tend to believe that Dark Knight focuses soo badly on overproducing that it misses the true story arch of Bruce Waynes inner demons and it gets way too ambiguous with the Joker. The boat scene was completely stupid....as metaphorical as it was,it was stupid.

  • @Mathew1985AZ but... that dark knight is suppose not to be about batman, nolan said the main goal in the dark knight is to show the distruction of harvey dent, i think the dark knight is better in the overall, it shows a good relationship between the joker and the batman, although the end was a bit poor.

  • @joaopescusa While I don't agree with a lot that Mathew is saying, a few minor complaints about the The Dark Knight place it just below Batman Begins in my opinion. The Dark Knight had a couple of bad flaws, Batman Begins on the other hand is actually probably a near perfect film.

  • @VenomShock what kind of flaws? and where?

  • @joaopescusa Mainly Editing and a pretty pretensious scene near the end.

Editing: While sometimes it is phenominal there are a couple of instances that make you wonder if there was a flaw in the script or whether Nolan just decided to edit it poorly. The most noticable is right after the Joker throws Rachel off of the building. Batman saves her, they talk for a moment and then the scene abrubptly cuts to Gordon talking with another cop. Not only is the transition sloppy, but the scene has no

  • @VenomShock yeah... the dialog on that scene is poor and something missed in that scene at the end

  • @joaopescusa @joaopescusa opinion of mine needs to be heard!" Not only was that highly unecessary for a Batman film, but it was a poor choice in general. He takes a detour to insert his own opinions about a social issue that is in no way relevant to the film. That was prententious and just bad decision making..

Other than that I thought the film was fantastic, just slightly below Begins.

  • @VenomShock ok i understand what you are saying but i still think the dark knight is better, i think the plot it better and the way he did harvey transformation into a bad guy was very real

  • @joaopescusa I'd say Batman Begins is an overall better made film, but that in terms of enjoyability it's up for grabs. I think Begins felt a little more like a Batman movie whilst Dark Knight felt more like a crime movie with Batman characters and themes. I love them both, but Begins has my vote for the best.

  • @VenomShock i pick The Dark Knight... Rises XD

  • @joaopescusa Hahaha! Yeah, that's going to kick ass! I can't wait, I can only wonder how great it will be. But at the same time I'm not sure if he can top the two he's made.

  • @VenomShock yeah... rumors say that nolan is going to put lazarus pit stuuf in the movie, supernatural things, i dont think thats a good idea, since the other 2 movies were almost reality

  • @joaopescusa I think that's interesting. But I'm wondering how far he's willing to go with the supernatural stuff. If he brings back Ras Al Ghul for the majority of the film: Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh. But if he's able to really sell the supernatural that's kind of interesting.

I actually thought Bane was an impossible choice, initially.

  • @VenomShock yeah, i thought the last villian would be the riddler because of the mental part, just like the joker, i never thought bane would be selected, i wonder if bane is going to be a hulk like guy with chemicals or a regular guy stronger than average

  • @joaopescusa Yeah, I wonder whether they'll juice him up on chemicals or not. They could possibly make him a Batman equal of sorts.

Have you read the comics? I've been reading some of the stuff regarding Bane's first encounter with Batman.

If Nolan doesn't make him super-strong, he'll at least make him super-smart. In the comics, Bane in recognized as the only villain who was able to deduce that Batman was Bruce Wayne, all by himself.

The way he takes Batman down is just as clever.

  • @VenomShock no i havent read batfall arc, i want to, but i have to download it first, i know bane broke bruces spine

  • @joaopescusa Yeah, it's pretty impressive. I can really see Nolan doing justice to Bane.

The picture makes me think the chemicals will play a part. His mask doesn't look as wrestler-like. It looks more like it's designed for chemical pumping.

  • @VenomShock maybe, but i believe nolan wont use the titan stuff, maybe somekind of enhancing chemicals, like steroids but with much more power

  • @joaopescusa Yeah, I think that's probably what it's going to be like.

I was also thinking: If the Lazarus pit is involved, maybe there's some sort of connection? Like maybe Nolan decided to change it up and make the Lazarus Pit contents the same thing that fuels Bane.

If not: I can see him perhaps using the Venom serum, but having it pump him full of the stuff continuously rather than having it have an instant effect.

  • @VenomShock i dont think the lazarus pit will be involved in bane's process, you think talia al'ghul will appear in the movie?

  • @joaopescusa I think it possibly could. Especially since there's been talk about a baby being involved in the Pit scene.

I think there's a chance that Talia may appear in the film. Marion Cotillard's role "Miranda Tate" seems to me like it could be an alias for Talia. Especially since Henri Ducard was Ras Al Ghul in the first one.

I've been thinking of looking into "Batman: Legacy" because that's a big storyline that involves Bane/League of Shadows/Catwoman. But I'm afraid of spoilers.

  • @VenomShock

Editing? You mean like the way your paragraph just cut off?

  • @hotgirlsarehot

That's why I posted several. There's a continuation of that one.

  • @joaopescusa ...conclusion (sorry, ran out of letters). The Joker is still up at the party and Dent locked up. But nope, next scene. I can see this having been a writing problem, but it sort of seems like a problem with editing just because of the transition.

The pretensious scene near the end is another flaw. It's the focus of the whole Batman/Lucius tension regarding monitoring cell phones. Nolan essentially says "Pause the movie, I need to get my opinions out about this, because this....

  • @EclipseHedgehog hahaha best comment on youtube! "fuck it, the sheep will eat it up." =D

  • Batman and Hans Zimmer or genious!!!!

  • @leanderl75 AND James Newton Howard!

  • @SilverBlade784 Newton Howard made the soundtrack.I can tell that Hans Zimmer style apart...and I don't care for his style as much as Newton Howard. Zimmer tends to use the typical redundant rehash of his "gladiator" horns and percussion.Howard on the other hand uses alot of nice modal changes in the music.

  • @Mathew1985AZ Hans Zimmer made the fast paced action and dark themes, while Newton Howard focused on the slower, sadder themes. Both made the soundtrack what it is. It's a shame Howard won't be coming back for the next installment (The Dark Knight Rises).

  • @SilverBlade784 Well its pathetic that James Newton Howard is shoved to the curb by the studios. He was obviously not given credit. Hans Zimmer sucks balls,I mean look at what hes done for the past 10 years....he recycles his same gladiator shit in every stupid soundtrack he makes. Infact, SHERLOCK HOLMES was not even the work of hans zimmer yet again he stole the credit....the young cello player genius is the one who really made the music.Hans is a stuckup overrated ripoff artist.James be mad.

  • i wish i was batman :(

  • Shut UP , CRIME !
