I really start to hate wang liqin, his serve is almost illegal. He turns his back so much to the table that you cant see the ball anymore. Then he cheers when he makes an edge but when mizutani has an edge ball he looks at his opponent like "wtf, you lucky bastard". Good player or not but i dont like him anymore...
mizutani is the most improved player of the last year with out a doubt think he could easily be top 5. easily beat timo at world team champs, hes just getting better and better
@ragoutjohn jun is really talented. good reflex, touch, flexibility n consistencybut he still hv to overcome a lot of stuff to be top 5,
wanghao, malong, zhangjike, xuxin, assuming ma lin n wanglq no long play well enough to beat jun.. jun still has to beat chenqi... n that's only the chinese team, how is it without a doubt? bs lol
n i dun understand y wanglq is still so adored nowadays. he got a powerful FH, but a not as updated BH. he still lacks the brain, reflex, consistency..
@perniciousnc wang liqin is still repected because he is still the only person in the world that won the WTTC 3 times in a row. he had his prime but in my heart he is one of the G.O.A.T next to waldner.
@adambobrow dude are you kidding me? I only saw one net point, and it was in favor of Jun. And then the single edge point that was shown went in favor of Wang Liqin, and yes he did cheer, but the only real reason he did that was it was placed so well that even if it wasn't an edge, but continued along its original path, Jun still wouldn't have got it.
@scylla24 I have always been & still am a WLQ fan. What you say is valid. Even though the ball was well placed, Jun can run down almost anything & Timo Boll & many other players would apologize for the help from the edge. Also, I remember another point where WLQ had a net ball that set up him for a winner & I expected him to acknowledge it. I think Jun apologized when appropriate & I was surprised not to see it from WLQ. Maybe I need to watch the match again, but that was just my reaction.
@scylla24 btw, I just realized this was sent from my mom's account. I am visiting her right now... but this is still me, Adam. 8>) Sorry for any confusion.
jun will be top 5 within the next year or two. jun, timo, samsonov, not to mention a lot of older players, can/could play with the chinese because although they do not play like the chinese, they play just as fast, and theyre just as consistent, and theyre tactics are just as good.
@tedbratton hmmmm I highly doubt it. Timo is the only play that you can say is about as fast and consistent as the Chinese players. And even then, he only wins probably 25 percent of the time against Chinese players. Mizutani has good reactions and is a good lobber, but his offensive game is so weak he usually depends on the other player messing up instead of winning the point himself, thats just not as good of a playstyle in table tennis
@Topspinify what? if I know bullshit? umm I hardly think what I said was bullshit. It just is a fact of table tennis, that offensive playing styles are generally better than defensive ones. And yeah he actually won this time, but he still overwhelmingly loses to Wang Liqin every other time. I would much rather have a style of play like Wang Liqin's than Mizutani's
@Topspinify wait let me get this straight, you write a comment trashing what I say, and saying I know bullshit, and then you write i agree.... haha ok, well cheers
@Izraphel don't get me wrong, he definitely is a good player, and the difference between a top 10 player and top 3 player is minuscule. I just prefer an offensive orientated game, as opposed to more defensive one.
@scylla24 why do you criticize mizutani if he won? I agree with you one hundred percent, especially on his back hand, but cmon, give the guy a break. hes one of two or three (him, Timo and maybe Joo) who can play with the chinese. lets give him some credit
@jkillashark yeah I know.... It made me sad. Not only is Wang Liqin like my favorite player, but Jun's play style is matches horribly against Wang Liqin's style. Wang Liqin usually always wins. Oh well, one day of bad luck

Firstly,WLQ did win 3 world championships, but not in a roll.Get your facts straight.2001,2005 and 2007.But he did play in three consecutive finals.
No player has won more ITTF Pro Tour titles more than WLQ.He´s the most successful TT player of all time.
That being said,no player,I repeat,no player in TT history is better than this LEGEND.Not even Waldner.
He´s the only player in TT history to possess a 100% technic.Liu Guoliang said
that,and I strongly believe that.WLQ is a TT god.

mostly I agree, but Mizutani's backhand attack and topspin is quite weak.
