Interesting vids. The midday music reminds me of 'The Village' in 'The Prisoner' tv series. You should do a holiday vid of Portmerion ,where it was filmed. Its an interesting place to go. The cemetary was really neat. I think they probably respect the dead (and the elderly) more than we do. Those dumplings look very tasty. They would go nicely with a bottle of TYSKIE ., my favourite Polish beer.!
Thanks Jolanda! Dominika says that her country has changed a lot in the last few years since they joined the EU, I am sure they will continue to prosper!:)
I thought the same as you about how they look like ravioli! I like to see the effort and love that goes in to making them. I posted a video about how to make them a while back and it gets comments daily, apparently peirogis rock!:)
just watched the 4 part epic ! was very interesting as it's not a part of the world that gets a lot of exposure. The 12:00 music wass something unexpected.
Dominika's folks seem very sweet like her :)
I love perogies! One of my English students in Italy had traveled to every corner of the world and her FAVOURITE place was Poland.
Thanks, Lesley! Talking of perogies, it is Friday and you know what that means in the Padbury household? Perogi night! Thanks for watching all the parts, luv ya!:)
Excellent Videos Anthony and Dominika. You two have a great way of making vids and the fun and enjoyment is passed onto us all. I really enjoyed this series. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot, Phil! I point the camera at her constantly (often I have to cut her rolling her eyes LOL!) but I usually get some great one-liners! I think also people can tell it is not just for the camera, we are daft in real life!:)
I have still only made perogi once and it turned out good. I made it with cheesy potatoes. since It's very hot here, I want to put some sort of fruit filling in next time.
Cheesy potatoes rock! Dominika smothers hers in butter and this weird smelling and tasting polish sauce whilst I prefer ketchup! I want to try the fruit ones!:)
A great series of videos and now I want dumplings so glad I watched this. I love both yeer channels and it took Garys birthday vid to find Dominikas channel.
Parts 2 and 3 were great too, I will have to watch this again.
Agreed I can't remember when I subbed to you, I think it was a video you did with 21st Century Cat and of course Dominica was on your vids and then a bonus found her channel. You tube is great for meeting new people, I have friends from all over the world even as far as the UK LOL. Friends in australia, Canada,USA, Brazil and Argentina, I have favourited this part so I can watch the epic again.
This is brilliant! Not only do I get to visit a Polish home! I also wanted you ask you how you met and stuff bit didnt want to appear nosey! lol.. I have two members of my msn site who met online, she travelled all the way from Australia to be with him!! Thats a long way! So was Dominika living in Poland when you met? I really do love a happy ending :)
We don't mind you asking! Yes, we met on YouTube and sparked off immediately, then Dominika came over to stay with her cousin in London in August and, I am glad to say that in person we still felt the same! We moved in together in January and we are hoping to get married next April!:)
