I wonder if all of these coons are conscious of their coonery. Out of all of them, Flava Flav seems like the one who would be the most oblivious, unassuming, and unaware of his coon antics. I think he is a free spirit and doesn't think about the influence he has, and that he actually underestimates himself in terms of the influence he has.
some how I knew it was going to be flava flav.. lol. I was wondering if I was the only one to notice beyonce change in appearance. When she first started singing she had curly hair and ever rocked cornrows.. not its straight, weaves, and light ass skin.. She did a commercial for some makeup idk and she looked straight up white... :-/
i dont agree with this, ok absolutelty but alot of that has to do with him being insecure about his apearance so he does that foolishiness for attention. But Oprah hell no, she has done alot for blacks and paved the way for us in media.Tyler Perry I am also iffy about its he has a formula and it works for him, He's no spike lee. Black folks are judgemental and nit picky about the smallest things. If robin williams can dress up like a woman its comedy but when tyler perry does it he's a sell out?
its not because tyler dressed like woman.. If you watch his movies ALL of them perpetuate some black stereotype. Theres controversy about him on youtube do a search.
@kanielaandpalikenei What about White stereotypes in movies, and TV shows? I don't understand why Tyler Perry was caught up in this shit. The brother is just trying to stack his paper. Matter of fact, damn near all of these people in this video are just trying to stack their paper. OJ was the only one who made sense. Fuck him.
Yeah, Flav does look like Spike, lol. But I gotta disagree with Oprah's role in Beloved. That was not so stereotypical, it was actually based off actual events. Her name was Margaret Garner, and her story deserved to be told.
The story has ALREADY been told. By Toni Morrison. What about strong, successful Black women? DON'T THEIR STORIES NEED TO BE TOLD OR DO WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO SLAVERY TO FIND A STORY?
HAHAHHAHA! FUNNY!!! I'm a year late but this chit is too funny! LMAO!!!!
