@Forgistus Well, the Runaway ending implies that Mayu will be hanged like Sae since the village ghosts don't realize that they're dead, so they will re-enact everything up to the moment of their death. Moreover, Mayu and Mio becomes one in this ending instead of being separate forever. Mayu is now with Mio for as long as she lives. If Kei were to take a picture of Mio, he will see Mayu together with Mio. Mayu is a psycho, so I doubt she will leave her sister alone even after death.

@aBuruBuruGuy This is the worst ending. To get it, near the end of the game when you have the option to go back to "rescue" Mayu, the door behind the shrine is unlocked and you can choose to run away instead of going after her.

There's also Mayu's death ending. To get it, on normal mode just "rescue" her under the caverns. Mio strangles Mayu, her body is thrown into the abyss, and she becomes a Crimson Butterfly.

It'll explain Sae zooming in on Mio, who looked back, and that Mio is wearing the exact same clothes, sitting at the same place as the start of the game. People who get lost in the village repeat their experience over and over, like Miyako who is always looking for Masumi. In other words, Mio is to search for Mayu forever.

It's an optional ending. You have to go into the Kureha Shrine after Mayu gets kidnapped and out the door and you'll get this ending, I think.

@avatarfan09100 This ending is a lot easier to get than any other ending, since you don't have to do any of the last boss fights, or most of the last level to get it. It gives you a "game over" anyway, so as long as you save beforehand, you can get it, then go back to the save and continue as if you got any other game over.
