was maokai a late pick to counter the AOE from dignitas or..?

@Maroovu His ult does help against Karthus, but he was not a counter pick to the AOE because TSM used maokai again in game 2 when Dignitas dropped the AOE plan and went with a more bursty/AD team instead. Maokai was banned or picked in every game at MLG Providence Day 3 (losers bracket + finals).

Well, TheOddOne from TSM basically picked Maokai through the whole tournament, if it was viable.

It wasn't really any counterpick or so, Maokai is just a great jungler and especially strong at ganking as you see here.

So yeah, eventhough Maokai's ult is good against Karthus's ult, it wasn't he counterpick, TSM just wanted to be Maokai in almost every game if it worked well enough.
