Very nice song and very well played! I would love to play it as well but I could not keep up the tempo of the tutorial. You play very fast and (although thats really awesome!) I couldnt follow the tutorial because of that.
despite the lack of commentary, this is one of the better tutorials out there. i like how you break down each part of the song quite carefully, doing each lick from slow to fast. very helpful.
Hey good video I liked it much!!!! thanks for shear it here in youtube. I`m german so we are naigbours hahaha. Only one question and it is how much time it takes to learn it witout mistakes and stopping?
sometimes, people try to teach something, but just do not have the right language, so that the important in-formation doesn't sink into the student's mind. But the way you did it, was definately suitable for my understanding! Good Job! :)
hey jatzzywous....pretty nice tutorial. thx. for that...got 90% of it down, still have to work on my timing.......greetings from neighbour country germany........; )
Yup. Nice equipment! For the budget it's worth the money. But really, you need to test it out yourself. At least that is my advise. I love the piano sounds as well as the rhodes. Great for Jazz funk and latin. HOpe this helps
I have some bad news for you. That song exists and it's called "Pay Dirt" by Niacin. John Novello plays that in the beginning of the song on his Hammond B3, later backed up by Billy Sheehan and Dennis Chambers. Check it out!
Hi, I'm an advanced beginner and like the piece, however, you don't illustrate putting left and right together. You jump right into it which is a little complicated to get the rhythm right. Still good stuff.
Thank you for your reaction, but why should I use the 5th finger instead of the 4th? What kind of music do you play? Classic? or Jazz? Do you play piano, or organ & synths?
Ja - Fantástisch Engels... Keep it up hehe ;) Great riff. I'm wondering though, if the name of the Cmin9 chord you mention (3m36s) is right. I see you're playing an E, a G and a C#. Isn't that the Edim7 chord? (Is there an...E...a G...i sound like Shar hehe).
Please correct me if i'm wrong, i'm just trying to learn something here... Keep on posting those riffs. Great job! I love to find and play stuff like this... thank you loads. :)
You are almost right. Edim7 is with a Bb in it. Why not very easy and say it's a C#dim? that C# E and G without the Bb. Offcourse we can play Bb with it, sounds good with it. Some chords are difficult to define.
you put some real effort into this and thanks for putting it up. doesn't sound like any jazz i've ever heard but solid playing and nice licks. good job! :)

No need to apologize for your English - I can only speak a few words in Dutch. Holland has fantastic musicians like Epica and Focus!
Very good tutorial - useful for my early stages on the Hammond organ, too

wierd fingering man in chords use the 5 finger for the higher note
generacion011 3 years ago
Thank you for your reaction, but why should I use the 5th finger instead of the 4th? What kind of music do you play? Classic? or Jazz? Do you play piano, or organ & synths?
JazzyWous 3 years ago
it doesnt matter what finger he uses, as long as its getting played. another finger on the same key isnt going to make it sound any different
Slick31601 3 years ago 9
@Slick31601
true..
but another fingure on the same key is going to effect your ability to reach the next key.. thus speed
and repetitiveness (how fast you can play the same note on a given piano) is effected by choise of fingures
sorry, couldnt help my self ;)

You are right about the wrong chord..
You are almost right. Edim7 is with a Bb in it. Why not very easy and say it's a C#dim? that C# E and G without the Bb. Offcourse we can play Bb with it, sounds good with it. Some chords are difficult to define.
