There is a possibility that there may be a trojan or something of the sort, but it is likely not lethal, and is necessary for the crack to work. Then again, I'm not a computer whizz, however 2 years after using the keygen my computer is still operating.

Worked like a charm, antivirus did not detect any thing in the keygen and patching did no harm. For the 64 bit you have to click all files when patching then select the 64 dll.

If you can't patch it, just move the file that is suppose to be patched to your desktop, patch it, save your license and put in all 3 files back to the folder. It should be cracked.

@TheYellowAznBoiZ: not sure why it would do that. It's working fine for me. Did you make sure you extracted every single file inside the rar, and put all the files in the same folder before opening it? And also maybe try running it as admin. Otherwise, I'm not sure why it wouldn't run.

Please,upload your hex workshop version,because the dll comes different from before,the dll vide is BPSRegWD.dll,and the new dll in the folder is BPSRegWD32.dll,

@calebuy: It's likely because it's detected as a false positive by your antivirus. I assure you that it isn't dangerous at all. So if you want to open it, you're going to have to disable your antivirus temporarily, download and use it, then re-enable it. But I understand if you are hesitant to do so. If you really don't want to take a chance, then I'm afraid there's nothing I can do. You're just going to have to find some other way to crack it, or just deal. But once again, it is clean.

@calebuy: Yes, I believe someone who had tried it this crack out on v 6.5 had confirmed that it worked. But I haven't tested it out for myself, so I can't say that with 100% certainty.

@BoredomKiller100: i can't really help you with that info. Umm, are you making sure you're running it as administrator? If you don't run it as administrator, then the generator won't be able to patch files in folders that require administration powers. I can't really thinking of any other solutions. Maybe someone here has the same problem as you?

@TrUm0o: If you're talking about when you're patching, make sure that when you go to the directory to choose the file, the file choice is set to that HexWorkshop thing (the drop down box beside the File name at 3:43)

If you still can't see it, navigate to your hexworkshop folder, and check to see if it's there. If it isn't there, then re-install hexworkshop, and make sure everything gets installed properly.

The patching process of keygens are the reason why they are detected as a virus not because antivirus companies are paid off.The patching process is similar to the genome trojan horse which is meant to patch and rewrite certain system files to compromise a system. This is in my opinion why downloading a keygen can be dangerous because you don't really know the true intention of the program. Regardless this looks safe enough

However, I personally have scanned the file myself, and have not found any viruses in it, plus my computer has yet to crash. I can assure anybody that it's not a virus, but if you feel that it is, then that's your loss, not mine.

@NerdyStarProductions i follow the instructions in the video, i patch it do everything the same. after i save the patch, i restart my computer, then once its fully loaded i click on the desktop icon to go into Hex Workshop but it fails to open and comes up with a error message saying an error has occurred, if you was in the middle of something it may be lost

@BennBennBenn88: Hm.... I don't think I've really heard of anyone getting an error like that before. My best suggestion for you is to uninstall hexworkshop completely, double check to make sure you're using the hexworkshop installer that I provided, or one that is exactly identical, and make sure that when you patch the files and save the license file, you put them to the proper directory, and don't rename the license. But from what the error said, it sounds more of a PC than HWS related error.

@coldIced: well, you can try doing it manually (type each number out). If when you type, it doesn't replace the character that was originally there, then something is wrong. You can try to re-install it. Never really heard of it not overwriting what was already there before.

@coldIced: oh, I hadn't realized you were talking about the program xD. Yes you can do that, but, like you've probably already know, you cannot exceed the amount of characters that already existed there. So if you're gonna replace, lets say the word "apples" in the text string box. Then the word you replace it with must be under 6 characters long, such as pears. If you do happen to choose a word that is under the limit, then you must also remember to replace the extra spaces with NULL (00).

@coldIced: well you can't physically copy the patched files from the program to your folder, cuz the program generates it as it goes. What might work is if someone uploaded a copy of their dll file and license file that they patched, and you pasted that in your folder. It's not a guarantee that it would work, cuz HWS might pick up on the fact that the license is already registered to someone else.

Either way, it's probably just safer/easier to do it by the video's method.

@chamillion9: Well, the installer is a trial period installer, so try and check to see if there's an unlock or register button somewhere on it. If there isn't, then wait 30 days (or possibly sooner), until you see that dialog box pop-up that says your trial period is gonna expire, and it'll ask you to unlock. When you see that, do this tutorial.
