i could have sworn i started on a minecraft video o:

  • Nice. I like you videos i saw this one because i watch you zippo tuts :)

but i have a small tip. Don't put you camera on auto-zoom. first find the right sharpnes of you camera and stay that way :)

    keep it up

  • Oops, I mean like a* boss

  • Like boss dude I really love watching your vids!

  • what does your face look like

  • fair play anyone who can do this has my respect, if i tried this id most likely cut my fingers to shreds =/

  • I might invest in a chain mail glove before I try any new tricks :P

  • @Broojo02 chain mail would be clunky. get SAP gloves instead.

  • @Broojo02 Or maybe a trainer? TRY IT

  • @Broojo02 duct tape your blade :D

  • @Broojo02 or get a training knife

  • @Broojo02 or get a trainer but chain mail works too

  • Where can i get one?

  • Hello, i love your vids by the way but i have noticed when you do tricks your camera sorta of follows your knife. is that a sort of motion tracking or is that u moving it?

  • I SPY WITH MY LEETLE EYE!!

  • 2:40 backstab!

  • Hey could you tell me a good website to order a nice balisong? i don't believe bladeops has higher class ones, i just got my jaguar today and i absolutely love it but just for future reference i'd be nice to know another legit site

  • Your videos are very helpful, I just got my knife and I can already do a couple tricks. Can you do a couple more begginer videos.

  • can i find one with a rubber, rounded blade so it wont cut anything bt will flip normally?

  • @MegaKinKar

you can go get a trainer balisong like the bear trainer, the bear trainers blade has no cutting edge so the worst that can happen is that you can get a bad bruise and the bear trainers are cheap according to my memory so go for that

  • okay, im just a beginner, does anyone knows a type of balisong I can buy without spending too much money ?

I really like to do the tricks I already know and I want to continue :)

  • i did it.. im 13 years old :D

  • @charrenhaloc im 13 too, and i can do y2k rollover and all beginner tricks

  • haha my finger hurts ^^

  • hey what knife is that. im deciding what balisong to get. any recomendations?

  • @MrRobbiem8

    Benchmade 42.

    Expensive, but worth every cent.

  • what do you think about the brand cobra

  • what do you think about the brand cobra

  • im not saying its bad but why do people do showy things with the balisong, is it for show or to distract?

  • Check out Darrel Ralph balisongs!

    dot darrelralph dot comm

  • Love your videos. I am 14 and just got one and i have been watching ALL of your Balisong videos:)

  • cutlerylover is the best balisong master ever

  • Cool!

  • my knuckle is going to break xD im a beginner.

  • awsome

  • I like how this video has a vuvuzela button.

  • ppl dun do arials to close cuz dumbfucks like me try it and get 5 stitches across his finger :D

  • how do u do that opening tell me plese

  • where u can buy that knife

  • really great. all i usually did was just close it the same way for each trick. :)

  • What is tee differnce between the balisong and te butterfly knife

  • Very nice tutorial! Thanks

  • @jewjewjew12 if you dont like the video so stfu and go watch your pornographic shit

  • its all in the details thats why he has to talk so much

  • i love your video they are very useful 2 me thxs

  • i'm loven the bench made model 42

  • i like his videos hes probebly the best at teaching balisong tricks and i just stated so its very usefull

  • @jewjewjew12 30 thousand views and your the only person who didnt like them, perhaps you dont ahve the patients to learn the moves thats not my problem, if you dont like the videos dont watch them

  • @jewjewjew12 if you hate his videos so much, then dont watch them, dumb ass.

  • @jewjewjew12 hahaha i definitely did not post this, i have never seen this video in my life

  • havent your mom teatched you not to play with knives? haha relly good video 5/5

  • how much is that one

  • I use electrical tape on the blade wen i practice so i dont cut my self

  • Hey,i want to get into Balisons.I wanted to get BenchMade 42 but i found out they arent made anymore,so i wanted to ask what model would you recommend right now?

  • I'm 14, just started using balisongs, they are mad fun. Thanks for the instructionals.

  • Just two questions. what butterfly knife would you recommend, and if you a beginner, what can you do with the knife so you don't cut your fingers off on the first try?

  • You did a very nice and fluid move at 2:40. Any chance of seeing an instructional vid on that? It was just as impressive as anything else, and I'd love to learn it!

  • open, close, open, close, open, close lmao :p nice vid bro

  • :/ when I do the ice pick grip I prefer the bite side of the blade because folding knives I've had in the past have all slanted inward a bit and it's just awkward to hold it the other way

  • NICE 5*

  • There's a method to the Ice pick grip that requires no rotation of the handles and lands with the blade out that can be reversed to close the blade, and not a single part of the move put your fingers in the way of the blade, basically, take the safe handle, do a horizontal open but DON'T ROTATE! Flick the handle back down and let it swing down, then swing back forward and catch the bite handle.

  • i want a balisong or butterfly knife but they are illegal in Australia sadly because they would be perfect to retaliate if ppl attack you like mace could anybody tell me where i could get one in Australia

  • Im sorry but i have been through most of the comments and found NO Team Fortress 2 refrences. and so i shall fill in for all the missed time. I shall say this is a very nice video and i wish i had a butterfly knife:D *ahem* Gentlemen¬_¬ Spy sapping Meh sentry! The scout is a lie! MEDIC! D: Oh dear ive made quiet a mess That spy is a spy! Shall we I do belive im on fire Pikabo! That will be all for the TF2 comments...SANDVICH!
  • Hey. I just bought two tickets to the GUN SHOW. But you can't have one. I'm going with YOUR tickets!

    -lost Demoman domination against Soldier

  • that air close is bad ass lol

  • Hahahaha gościu mnie demotywuje ale ok to co pokazywał mniej-więcej ogarniam ale to co robił poza programem ... :P

  • i know this sounds like a weird question because i want to buy a balisong but here is my situation...so here in hawaii they are "illegal" >_> yet ive seen people with them...and on other islands people say they buy them from flea markets...if i order one online, would some how the "MAN" go through my mail or shipping order or w/e bs and decide to take it and come to my house and...oh i dont know...arrest me or something? please help ^^

  • so just buy a trainer

  • I'm from Australia but I visited Hawai'i, or to be more exact, Waikiki, and they were everywhere :P Just ask the Asians running the stalls :P

  • where im from, we just call those butterfly knives. cool aerial though. one of my friends collects those. he taught me a bunch of cool ways to open and close them but i was never too good at it. nice vids

  • whats up with the camera moving????

  • Learning this will go great with my hollows eve costume

  • hey man, i really love your videos and do you know where i can get a nice balisong for cheap? i would really love to get one because i have a lot fo knives but most of them are folding except my paratrooper 2 knife.

  • jeff if you sell your knife do yo get an autograph with it? and are they more expensive cuz your famous? i want an official cutlery lover benchmade! no joke...you are my balisong hero...lol

  • lol, thanks, but I hardly consider myself famous...haha, if I ever sell a balisong or anjy knife if the buyer requests somethgin like thyat yeah I have no prloblem doing that although it feels kind of wierd to do so, haha

  • @cutlerylover well 30,517 people (including me) consider you famous (those are all your subscribers)

  • at 5:47 do a half spin on the aerial to close it it is safer and looks cool

  • Double sided blade?

  • no standard bm 42 single sided blade

  • double sided blade = dagger

his is a dirk because the other side of the blade is half way down and is jagged.

  • Partially. One of the balisong's side is half bladed (the top half) and the other is blunt (the lower half).

  • @acidwaste00 no that is just an unsharpened swedge on the top half. It may look double edged but it is not. a double egded bali would be more dangerous to the user without much added advantages.

  • hey cutlerylover, i was wondering if you would ever sell one of your balisongs?

  • I believe they are called "Aerials" not "airials."

  • Thats correct

  • Yeah...most stuff closes by doing it backwards. I am TERRIFIED TO DO AIRIALS. I'm gonna have to to tape my blade to high heaven!

  • Just use a trainer for practice...

  • me too I won't do an arial until I can throw an eating knife first!!!

  • yeah me too...

  • the auto focus is weird

  • my butterfly always dulled is it cause i had a cheap one?

  • Are you just tricking with it or actually cutting things? And this is Benchmark 42 I believe which is like, the best you can get. Is yours an everyday made in China butterfly?

  • Benchmade dude, Benchmade.

  • Everyone makes mistakes

  • i see a doorknob

  • are balisong trainer legal in canada?

  • Trainers won't hurt anyone, unless you close it hard on yourself, and they are even legal in the US. Just don't take it to a public place because it looks like the real thing.

  • like legal to buy?

  • Online yeah.

  • sometimes you cna find them in malls and places. the're not listed as switchblades or balisongs but as trainers so there r no laws agianst them.

  • can you show me the trick on 2:40??

  • hey ,Jeff , this vid really helps a lot in my combos :p

    thanks....

  • very good video

do you have any model you can recomeand to a newbie like me? i would like to pay less than 100$ a link would be appreciate

    thanks

  • if u culd chip in 25$ then get the benchmade 40tr trainer, its like the real thing, except the blade is dull so u dunt cut yourself

  • Look into a Kimura by Bradley Cutlery

  • what are some good brands of butterfly knives?..I looked at the knife and you are using and it's almost 300 dollars online..just wondering were there anymore good brands that are a little cheaper?

  • well they are sold forjust under $200, the full retail is almost $300 but no one pays that...as for cheaper balsiongs unfortunatly there is a BIG lack of middle grade balsiogns you have expensive oens and then you ahve cheapos...

  • I recommend a Bradley Kimura. I got mine for $91 bucks from BladeHQ.

Definitely a quality knife. Maybe not a benchmade

but it's half the cost and very sturdy.

  • Your camera keeps on going out of focus at some points.

  • Thank you, i've learned so much from u.

Just got my balisong today, knifezilla is awesome.

  • You should try to turn off the auto-focus on your camera, it blurs when you move fast.

Is there a BM42-style with a tanto blade?

  • I ahve tried, but I dotn have the option to tuirn it off...Anyway yes, the Benhcmade model 47 has the same exact handles as the 42, but has a really nice lookign tanto blade, but good luck finding one, they ahve ben discontinued for a while, now, and if you fidn them expect to pay more...

  • I found one for $240, but it'll be a long long time until I have that money. A Bear tanto came in today that I ordered last week. It's nice enough, but the safe-latch keeps folding inside and hitting the blade, I'm trying to devise a quick fix while I learn these videos.

  • ive had the same problem with my bear tanto its awsome knife to flip it just has a few kinks

  • try using a small o- ring or break a rubber band, tie it around the handle just below the latch, and trim the excess. that what i do and it works great.

  • I've had my BM42 for like two weeks and it squeaks like a mother f*cker, you know of any way to fix that?

  • all you need to do is add a drop of oil in the pivot areas...flip it a bit then wipe off the extar that oozes out and your set, rem oil is cheap and c na be foudj readily at walmart, but any metal lube wil work fine...

  • Chill dude, thanks!

  • amazing ive been collecting knives for a while but im just starting out with butterfly knives and this video helped alot thanks

  • haha, that's a slick bali, i open mine and it sounds like a squeaky metal tornado, yours is all "CLACK."

  • you have inspired me to play with knives.

  • lol

  • you rock with that balisong

    :D

  • hey quick question how do you get the thing in the top right corner of the screen that says cutlerylover production presents and when you click on it it brings you to your page?

  • thats a banner, its only available to youtube partners, for more info on that search youtube partner...

  • Latch drop is good for closing :)

  • iv seen a paratrooper knife very simuler to the bali. twas belgum or from that area. it opens by pulling out the sides and then closeing em. anyways got any vids of drop openings? srry for my slang but thats the only way i know of to discribe it.

  • I show a cheap version of a paratrooper knife in my video titled knife tin...lol, anyway Yes look up "latch drop cutlerylover"...Ill have more moves in the future using the reverse grip...

  • i hav that same knife =)

  • can you provide a link to where you purchased your balisong? I have 5 different butterfly knives but they are all $60 and under.

I am looking to purchase a nice balisong that will last me a lifetime, I love the look of your stainless one in this video, thanks!

  • its actually titanium hanldes..its a benchamde model 42, cost right now onlienj is between $175 - $200 but they are otu of stcok most places...the palce I got mine from is called newgraham but they chnaged their policy and no longer sell balisongs to citizens unless you ahve proof your a law enforcemnt officer...

  • great vid keep posting the balisong vids

  • I'm happy to see so many people taking the time to explain some basics on balisong techniques, especially ones like this.

You certainly have a clear way of explaining things cutlerylover. Can't wait to watch your other ~3,000 videos. :D Take care.

  • What an honor! comming form you, a master of the balisong...I have always seen you as a big name in the hobby, a truley skilled man!

  • wtf??? first da door talking????

  • lol for these demos I stay off screen...

  • however its a good vid. and da balisong its a good 1.!!

  • ty i love your videos but can i buy 1 off you

  • Sorry none of them are for sale right now...

  • open close open close hahaha hey man awsum vid. i love your vids they rok

  • what is a good balisong for cheap like 60$ or 40$ plz message me back

  • unfortunatly they dotn exist, there is nothgin in the middel range as for price or quality, you have crap and you have expensive balisongs...$30 and less will give you problems, some model less than other but in the end they will ALL break one way or another, then you skip right up to $150+ balisongs that will last a lifetime...companies like CRKT and Kershaw really need to start making a cheap but decent balsiong for $40 -$50...that woudl be great!

  • there's no balisong for 40 or 60$.15$ crap 130$ great !!!!

  • Beautiful.

  • I am saving for a bm42 I can get 150 before too long but I an't wait untill I have the money I have a ccc right now held together with duct tape

  • I have this cheap balisong I bought on holiday and it's useless, it keeps flapping around and all sorts. The joints are all loose so one handle lies about 1.5cm below the other one. I've been watching your vids (great help, thanks!) and I was wondering where you bought your balisong from, because I really need a new one. I'd be grateful if you could get back to me on this.

    Cheers.

  • well if you wan to go cheap then check out the BEAR and son balisongs from eknifeworks...less than $30 shipped for most of them and they are better cheapos, however if you want to get a BM42 you will need to sheel out about $175 - $200...

  • Man those aerials are awesome. Maybe I'm a wimp, but I always think I'm going to stab myself if I throw it up int he air.

  • chekc out ym aerials vid, search "balisong fun aerials"...

  • Grr! I wish these were legal here in California! Nice instructional video though. Keep 'em comin'!

  • they are.....

  • California law only says you can't sell or carry switchblades and balisongs with a blade over 2 inches. It's perfectly legal to just own them and play with them in your home. I live in Cali and own several. You can get them online or by goin to a state where they are fully legal, like Arizona!

  • thanks man! you never really think of closing tricks. nice seeing new bali tutorials:)

  • Nice vid. I wish I had a bali at the moment :(

  • yeah new instructional vid yeaaaah!

  • nice tutorial
