you are definitely filling a gap, like you say. i have read both "birth partner" and "pregnancy, childbirth and the newborn" in preparation to be a supportive birth assistant to a couple. i really appreciate these well-written books that are so thorough. i did not have such an excellent written resource when i had my own kids 16 and 11 years ago. now, i've gotta get my hands on this wonderful-sounding dvd :-)
