  • ok i know carol shelby originally went to chevy for the engine, and im sure these engines are great, but i just think its wrong to not put a ford engine in them. thats just me talking though. never the less, you have a cobra and i dont. so you win sir.

  • The fact that these are hand-built makes a lot of "head room" for engine choices. As a GM buff, I'm glad the Cobra has an LS7/T56 in it, but I would've been just as happy with a 289 with Strombergs...

  • you never c a ford motor in a chevy, its just too disrespectful.i think i made my mind up about what dealership i wanna work at after i get my ase certification.chevy!!!

  • the only thing i don't like about these cars is the sitting position, having your head poking out above the windscreen makes it look like you're driviong a bumper car or a go-kart.

  • Old skool fuck yeah.

  • ford AC Cobra with e Chevrolet's engine????

  • that's a pretty good figure, do you know what it produces at the flywheel ?

  • is 427 the number of hp?

  • @TheFuggedaboutit

    no, it's cubic inch

  • @TheFuggedaboutit Are you serious? According to your profile you are from the US, so you should know it's the displacement. 427ci = ~7000 cm³

  • i hate when people a vette motor in a cobra wheither replica or not it aint right but w.e people do what they want

  • 427 aaaaaaaaaallll the way< puttin that shit in my silverado, shitty ricers aint got shit on american muscle

  • 427 aaaaaaaaaallll the way< puttin that shit in my silverado,

  • Ford engines makes more horsepower bro.

  • @owenpls ford engines make less power sister

  • @Ls3guy clearly you are one of the dumbest mother fuckers in the world?

hello chevy, lets see one of their pos big blocks or small blocks even come close to a 1500 hp + sbf.

case and point. shut up pussy. Only reason people build chevys is because they are cheaper. Plain and simple and if anyone wants to say different refer to my previous statement.

  • @owenpls cearly you a dumb fuck a ls7 a much better then anything ford can make o and by the way why people build chevy motor is becasue they stay to gather unlike a ford motor where just blow up look it up retard ford motors suck

  • @Ls3guy HAHA. NOT. Lets see any videos of ls7's or anything chevrolet has even came out with over 1500 hp. And I'm just saying videos so you can cry over youtube some more. Keep searching you will not find, plus who is #1 on the drag strips? oh wow.. go figure.. FORD. And it's funny how you are agreeing with the people who build cheap engines for retail.. you are such an idiot lmfao

  • @owenpls what the fuck man you are one dumb mother fucker arent you ford motors crack down the center of the block here you go retard watch ford blocks suck watch?v=wayRUuoBPXY

  • @Ls3guy plus, oh my god. what are they "gathering" ? dust? because they have all been blown off by real horsepower cars? you are the dumbest mother fukcer on the internet. please go cut your wrists

  • @owenpls you are the dumest mother fucker on this plant you need to go jump off a clif

  • @Ls3guy says the guy who cant spell "cliff" "planet" or "dumbest" ??

  • @owenpl well you're the dumb fuck who cant read

  • @owenpls look its a gm block and heads watch?v=OSC02VTHS6o

  • FUCK YOU YOU ARE A BAG OF SMASHED ASSHOLES ....CANNED

  • im so in love with this car

  • WOW! That's one of my dream cars right there - a Cobra with a new GM 427 V8!

  • noooooooooooooooooo a chevy powerd ford DAme aussies no respect LOL

  • HOTROD: someting small and fast, to scare any normal person, by any means necessary. press play above for a video of one:)

To those who dont aprove of the engine-car combo... I bet Carrol Shelby would love it!

Actualy he would probably want more power.

Its not like he pulled out a ford for the ls7.

  • steering wheel is on the wrong side

  • THIS CAR WELL EQUIPED WILL RAPE ANY CAR OUT THERE PRACTICALLY.

  • sorry but its supposed to have a ford in it weather he orriginaly wanted a chevy in it or not! it is a replica of the shelby cobra which had a ford motor in it and thats all there it to it!

  • @donaldrox its his car, he can build what he wants...

  • That's terrible. It would be like someone putting a 427 FE engine in a Corvette.

  • Personally, I'd like to have a Cobra that is as close to original specs as possible...427 FE side oiler, 4 speed top loader, quick lifts, Smith gauges, German leather...But, drop ANY 400+bhp V8 into a Cobra and you're going to have a beautiful, brutally powerful, iconic race/muscle car that anyone would be proud to own.

  • stop all your whining Ford fans. when Shelby originally brought the AC Cobra over to the US, he originally wanted to put a Chevy motor in it. But he couldnt reach an agreement with GM over the supply, because they didn't want a car that would compete with the Vette's sales.

  • @impreziv You obviously have no clue what you are talking about either, go play with your honda loser.

  • @owenpls what exactly did I say that you are refuting? do 2 minutes of research and you can confirm that Shelby talked to GM about engines before he even considered Ford. and what are you thinking about comparing Ford power to GM power. there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of GM BB and SB engines out there making 1500hp, even 2000hp. you need learn a little bit of humility, and do some research before you start trying to correct people on the internet.

  • what is wrong with yall everytime someone puts a chevy motor in a ford u screw it up

  • you shoulda gone with a 427 sohc cammer......

    Ford FTW!

  • I love, I love, I love ... wonderfull , very nice car and a lovely replica!

  • Sounds AWESOME!!! Great V8 noise.

  • booooooooooooo ! shoulda had ford power

  • not my bowl of oatmeal, but nice, doing something different is always great

  • 427 cobra jet > all

but god damn, 442HP in a car that ways 2,500-2,600lbs

    thats more HP per ton then a GT-R or Zr1 ( i think >_> )

  • @krypekeeper Exactly! It's been said that somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 RWHP is best for the Cobra. Anymore then that is overkill and unecessary.

  • 427 cobra jet > all

  • Putting a GM motor in a Ford is like two men fucking each other its just not right. Well I guess at least its an American motor, un like when they put a skyline motor in that 67 Mustang in too fast too furious. Nice car, bad ass motor - Props to a Beautiful car and a Beast of a motor.

  • If it rolls over, your fucked. LOL

  • He picked the LS7, as many kit car builders have, because it is light, clean, efficient, cheap, and reliable. Look up the Ultima GTR, Zenvo ST1, and SSC Aero. Three of the most elite performance cars in the entire world and all have Corvette engines in them. The car with world record skidpad grip, 0-60, and 0-100-0, uses a Chevy engine. If it was a piece of shit, they would have picked something else instead.

  • @CorvetteRacingFan Chevy POS

  • @lmorrow4

Well, a whole pile of engineers, publications, and race teams disagree. I'm not dumb enough to try to say that Ford's engines are garbage and I don't have to say any more than I already have to make you look like a fool.

    you = zero credibility

  • @CorvetteRacingFan Your opinion man which you're entitled to have. It doesn't mean everyone agrees. Keep buying your Chevys, the company needs all the help they can get.

  • @lmorrow4

Truth be told I would sooner buy a Ford for a daily driver. I prefer vettes to GT's and I like both trucks but pretty much everything else goes to Ford in my book. Compared to Chevrolet, Mustang is better, Fiesta is better, Fusion is at least as good and maybe better. I still like the performance end of Chevrolet though minus the Camaro. The new Ford GT has never won 24 hrs of LeMans GT. Vettes with LS-R engines did it about 6 times.

  • Horsepower sells cars.... torque wins races....

  • @tactical84 looks like the torque dorks have attack here too !

  • why in the hell would you put a chevy engine in a shelby?

  • @NIGBEATS AC isn't owned by Ford. It's like calling a Lotus a Toyota because it uses Toyota engines.

  • @NIGBEATS

1: Carol Shelby originally asked Chevy to supply thier cars with engines first

2: The LS7 is a great engine and awesome for customising/tuning.

My father built an AC Cobra 11 years ago and fitted it with a rebuilt rover v8 engine (rebuilt by himself) and since then he supercharged it, then replaced it all with a 5 litre TVR V8 (basically the same engine) If he was to build another one he would only go with a Rover V8 or a LS7.

  • nice replica,i like it in black.

  • and what was wrong with the original motor *shakes head* clean cobra though

  • i think i t looks so dum with that aftermarket airfilter just sitting there...encreased airflow for sure but the lokk is juh awful..nice car by the way...

  • "Chevrolet" ruined this video for me.

    sorry....../Fake cobra FTL

  • @Prometheus1st You're maybe right, but in the end, this is the faster Cobra. And I don't mean on the straight, I mean around the corners. So I prefere this Cobra before the "real" ones. Maybe because I'm German and not so interested in the soul of the car than with the performance.

  • Kind of sounds like nascar at high revs.

  • Thing sounds like a pussy.

  • a chevy engine in a ford?

  • @mike27273 the cobra is a ac car. english ^^

  • @mike27273 he wanted it to run :-P

  • THIS is a car

  • The engine finally came and so did the gearbox. It's called a Tremec gearbox and the first one in the Uk. I can't stop staring at the engine...... I think I may be in love!

  • SHELBY CAR ENGINE CORVETTE ???

  • @cannondalefla

Originally Shelby approached GM for a V8 to re-engine the AC Cobra. He later went to Ford.

  • @Sephirius

ok thanks for any information. I love COBRA fuck if the GI * JOE .... LOL

  • What would nice, is a couple of gas struts on the hood :-)

  • Thats so badass.

  • Too quiet at idle

  • Great video. My father is building a cobra at the moment and is putting an LS7 in it. I saw the bhp on the graph an it seemed very low. I'm looking at the spec sheet for our lump and it says 540.

  • Wheel horse power and engine horse power are different.

  • @samkactus Could you explain it to me please

  • @samkactus This is true!

  • a mate just fitted a chev into a ricer, not because they are any better in his words, but they are compact and cheap, and part availability is good.

  • Another example of Chevy fans that wanna be Fords, they're too damn embarrassed by the way Chevy designed their cars so they buy whats cool and shove Chevies in them. Ford guys never put Fords in Chevies, unless its just a joke. Sad but typical.

  • @isohisso. The only thing Ford about the Cobra was the engine. This car was designed in England by AC not Ford. All Carroll did was put a Ford engine in it.

  • @mikehudd the early 289 cobras where A/C design yes the 427s however where all Ford/Shelby design

  • I know that, but the Cobra was fully backed by Ford and is a Ford icon. I read a commenton another clip where the guy said a lot of guys put Chevies in Ford but hardly anybody puts aFord in a Chevy. Why be a hard core Chevy guy and put a Chevy in a Ford? Ford guys like Fords and keep their cars all Ford. Truthfully Chevs make power, but so do Fords. I'm a Ford guy, and like a coupla Chevs even, but why waste a good motor on a Chevy.

  • @isohisso Wrong the reason why we put Chevy motors in "Kit Cars" is because we want to go fast.. If i want to go at a modest speed then blow up I would put ford engines in everything. :)

  • You funny guy. I'm not doubting that Chevies make power and make for quick rides, many Ford powered vehicles have just barely beaten Chevy powered cars. But my point is that Ford guys don't put Fords in Chevies because chevs are kinda ugly except for a few nice ones. Even Mopar guys keep their motors in Mopars, but Chevy guys keep cramming bellybutton Chevs in anything and everything: Don't get me wrong I like all american made Muscle Cars, but stick to your own brand if they're so great.

  • @isohisso true, but the thing is its not a ford, its a KIt Car thats what a lot of people don't realize, if i had a real Cobra i would have put a FE motor in it, but i dont its just a replica, its not backed by ford in any way. im sorry but GM styling is way better than fords has ever been and i cant really enjoy ford products b/c they dont change much. look at the mustang its still built on the same platform as it was in the 60s and it still cant run with the vette, Just my opinion tho.

  • Well I think retro would be more more accurate, than the same platform, but whatever. I think its cool we have a Mustang, Challenger and Camaro new today. The other point was in the true spirit of hot rodding putting a bigger engine in a car was cool, Caddy in a Chev, Olds in a 32 Ford coupe, Lincoln in Ford Custom etc. Chevrolet's small block became popular because of Car Craft and Hot Rod magazine and were easy to build up, like SB Fords are today.

  • @is6cobra, just wanted to say you have an awesome car and I'm sure you have a blast driving it, and in fact I hope you get a lot of safe miles from it. I grew up on Chevs and a Buick, but my first car was a dreaded Ford and I got hooked. Since then I've just found I prefer Fords over Chevs. Seeing Chevies in Fords or SYMBOLS of Ford power I just don't get it. Main thing is you're havin fun.

  • @isohisso Your 100% right it is about having a good time, and if you like Ford products thats your right, Im still young and dumb and when I was growing up ford wasnt known for its reliability and craftsmanship and when I started my build in 02 I was only 16 and a sophomore in high school, and the z06 was the new hot thing, and I got a great deal on surplus Ls6 parts so thats what I went with. Thank you very much, it means a lot to me when a ford guy compliments my car.

  • @ls6cobra Firstly I've gotta clarify that there is a slight misunderstanding on my part. See me being an old fart, I'm kinda stuck in the 50's to early 70's era of performance. As i mentioned earlier I was a kid whoi grew up with Chevies and turned to Fords when my first car was a Ford (a Merc actually) It was justa stupidly reliable car. I've owned 2 GMs that gave me nothing but trouble, and gave questionable performance. But this is neither here nor there. I was 16 in 1975.

  • @isohisso you may not know this but Shelby first went to Chevrolet for engines, but Chevrolet turned him down because of the competition it would have created for the corvette, even tho it didn't turn out that way the cobra badge could have said "Cobra powered by Chevrolet". So I think Shelby really knew where the power was at but hey what happened, happened and the cobra is an amazing car with or with out a ford engine. Once again this is Just my opinion please dont take it to heart.

  • Yeah, you're right Shelby did have a momentary relapse by going to Chevrolet, but his day was saved by going to Ford(all due respect to Carroll) And Chevy did have the Cheetah that tried chasing down the Cobra with a Ford in it. Grand Sport kit car would probably be able to chase and catch a Cobra with a Cleveland in it. Also of note GT40 was a Lola, but once you slip in a powerful, reliable, easier to service Ford powerplant it becomes a world dominating winner.

  • Styling is a matter of taste. 63-67 Vettes still look good, 61 Chevy bubble top is NICE looking car, so a few Chevs managed to have decent styling, but not overall like Fords which are so darn good looking guys want to put their Chevy motors in them. Fords go faster with Fords in them anyway. I've always loved the Ford Chev rivalry. My whole point was a Cobra kit car is a symbol of Ford power, and to put a Chevy in a Ford symbol whether a kit or no, just seems a bit silly, thats all.

  • @isohisso Maybe back inthe day the ford cars where quicker but not by much, even the L-88 67 vette ran circles around the cobra, but now adays its no contest Chevrolet is winning the war hands down, The Zr1 is king, and im more new school even tho my dream car would be a Mid year Big Block vette, the reason we run Chevys in everything is they are just better powerplants.

  • Truthfully and trying to be unbiased. All three manufacturers were close in performance in every aspect. Drag racing and NASCAR constantly see sawed back and forth, and this is what made Hot factory cars so awesome.

in drag racing wins were generally won from the launch, NASCAR and SCCA was won by who cheated the best without getting caught. Better powerplants, its been debated for over 50 years. Its mostly brand loyalty.

  • @isohisso im sorry but i strongly disagree with ford engines being more reliable and easier to service. my engine i can swap out cams with out touching the intake or heads, I dont have to remove the lifters or nothing, theres no ford that you can do that with. I do like how they run the distributer in the front of the engine but thats it, and these days the corvette is destroying just about everything thats tossed its way, i think we come from different eras so we have different opinions.

  • Again this is where I was guilty of misunderstanding, I'm talking about 50's to 70's performance, and truthfully I haven't been following modern stuff because of all the electronic enhancements. Todays stuff is definately amazing. I'm definately old school and can't give you a decent argument. Having said that I worked on Ford , Mopars and GMs back in the day and found Fords the nicest to work with. Again just my opinion, not worth much but it is what I experienced.

  • Keep in mind the LS7 weighs about 450lbs, while any ford 427 will push about 650+.

  • You people are on drugs to think that an out dated bored out truck motor is any bit better than the state of the art LS7. i mean come on its all computer controlled you get way more power when you can precisely control the ignition and fuel delivery.. thats why newer cars are much faster than older ones. I have a cobra with a LS6 and its a lot faster than the big blocks. The reason there soo much more is the rarity of parts and the engines them selves. And thats all there is to it..

  • @Is6cobra: Yeah, but those "superior" computer controlled sensors can drive you batty when you're trying to trouble a vehicle. An example can be the sensors giving you a read out that says there is something wrong with the engine, and in reality there isn't.

  • @videoslacker not really, if you have access to the right tools and have the knowledge you can easily figure out the issue. Sensors do mess up a lot yes, but one of the first things you would do is check the sensor(s) corresponding to that code, either by Resistance test Volt/current drop ect. Im sorry but computer controlled is the way to go, there so much more efficient, reliable, they make alot more power, you can take them up to higher RPMs, they will idle, they dont overheat in traffic.

  • @ls6cobra Blasphemy to put a Chev engine where a Ford one once lived.

  • @TestECull Your forgetting that its a KIT CAR as in fake, reproduction, or not real. Why go threw all the trouble of trying to make it as "original" as possible when deep down you know its not?? Not too mention it was my money and my decision and I know I made the right one, the kit that I went with even uses C4 corvette suspension. Its Blasphemy to be that narrow minded, and may I remind you that the original 427 cobra only had 425 hp... Not 505hp like the new Z06.

  • You can make a 427 push 600HP with ease.

Hell you can make a 351W push 505HP.

Or maybe a 4.6l V8 from a newer mustang that weighs less than the LS7 while matching it in performance?

Or perhaps a turbo 2300 smacking down with 450HP, the weight savings accounting for the difference?

Plenty of odd ways to go and keep a ford engine in a ford car. Even if it's a replica ford.

  • @TestECull The 4.6 is heavy, with a supercharger they can get up around 680LBS. And there not really matching the vettes with power there close tho. And i did look into a 4.6 DOHC but when i was looking for engines they where expensive and i liked the LS1's better, there is more in the lines of performance parts for them and a good amount cheaper. and its a fake car, its not a ford anything really, its a kit car where your free to make them how you wish, regardless of what they may resemble.

  • @TestECull so instead of trying to make it appear as original as possible i decided to try to make mine stand out. And honestly any one can put a bored out truck motor in a kit car buy how many do you see running around with computer controlled ignition and fuel injection?

  • LS7 is just fine. Lower lift cams and more restrictive heads - it just means less power and torque when pushing high rpms, but you have a motor that has more torque mid range and sounds a lot smoother instead of spitting like its trying to kill small kids

  • Wow, I guess you couldn't afford the

original hemispherical Ford 427 "cammer" engine, you would of produced way more horsepower then that LS whatever piece of crap engine, no offence

  • I agree big time! The LS7 is supposed to be a small-block Chevy motor displacing 427 cu in. It puts out about 575 horsepower using modern electronic fuel injection. Ford's Cammer is a 427 that puts out 616 horsepower using carburetors. The SOHC would put out about 100 horsepower more using modern fuel injection. Even Ford's 427 tunnel-port would put out more juice than the LS7! & Shelby makes super-strong aluminum 427 blocks & heads.

It all boils down to cost. LS7's are very cheap!

  • Your forgetting that the LS7 wieghs nothing and gets 27 mpg in a 3300 lb car. I'm sure that Cobra is way less than 3000lbs. especially with the LS7. But honestly, that car would be better of being as close to original as possible with the Ford engine.

  • lol, try 2500 lbs :) One of the resons the Cobra was so fast was because of it's weight. With no roof, that helped shed a couple hundred. And yeah, the LS7 is good engine, but I'd stick with the original 427

  • i would drive it to starbucks.

  • a chevy?! in the place that a monster inched ford should be?! BLASPHEMY! ....but...damn is that a sweet car. and those are some wicked engines. I love the "ls1 based" engines

  • God!!!! Anyone who puts a chevy engine in a AC cobra, ought to be bitch slapped back to the stone ages.

You don't put that kind of money and time into a classic kit like an AC cobra, then stick a fucking chevy engine in it. Especially a weak LS7 engine like that one.

  • weak? at 427 cubes, it has 505hp, 475lb ft of TORQUE, an 8 quart dry sump, 6 bolt (yes, SIX) forged main bearing caps, and that sir, is a dead stock ls7.

  • It's a replica most likely, which would explain it. plus an availability of parts.

I'm a chevy fan....but still, I'd have went with a roush or actual shelby built.

The price is about the same.

  • a stock ford 429 has 396 pounds of torque

  • Yes, the LS7 is WEAK! A Ford 427 Tunnel-port has about 50 more HP & torque than the LS7. & Ford's Cammer has about 100 more HP & torque than the LS7!

It's all about what you can afford. The LS7 is much cheaper! You get more bang-for-the-bucks with a Chevy motor. The Ford motors cost almost twice as much as a LS7. If you want more HP you gotta pay for it!

  • stupidity amazes me. I never said a ford couldn't make the power for one, and two...it's not what you build, it's how you build it.

  • nice car , i like fords but the gm power unit is cheap and compact, ideal for transplants.

  • cheap? excuse me?

  • where is this in aus?

  • I love this car....and I think that this is one of the best places for a 427ci engine - especially a LS7.

  • 2:13 to 2:24 is now my ring tone

  • the LS7 would be easy on emmisions, also it would use way less fuell than an old cast iron jobbie, lighter etc. There is no downside at all. Would you rather him put a 2JZ or somthing in there?

  • In the spirit of the car if the the hardware.

  • Don't hate on this car because it has a LS7, AC Cars used to shove Rover V8's in these when they were new, but I think that was before ol Shel and Ford came along.

  • @bjmicha3 AC originally put TRACTOR engines into these cars. It was designed as a British 4 cylinder roadster, much like an Austin Healey. Carroll Shelby came along looking for a lightweight car to compete on the race track with the Corvette, Ferrari, and others of the day. So he stuffed a 260CI V8 under the hood and went racing. Then came the 289 (which, I think was still based on the 260 block) and in 1965 Shelby put the 427 FE into it.

  • Take no notice mate it looks & sounds great

  • i would of put a ford racing engine......just so i dont get shot by the purists......

  • Screw the purists. I'd use a 351w and enjoy a driveable car instead.

  • as long as its a ford in it...

  • although it looks very nice i think the steering wheel is disproportionally big

  • It's nice, but not loud enough. Idle is way too smooth for a Cobra.

  • Anything with L and 7 in the name must be square.

  • hey crybabies. you know that Shelby originally tried to source his engines from chevy. Ford was his second choice. Ls7 is one of the best engines ever!

  • @hweelies sorry that is wrong.. the Ac project was funded by ford

  • @hweelies Hahaha, you've read your Shelby biography I see. Well, Mr Shelby approached GM(not Chevy) and wanted to build he own unique sports car using a Chevy small block V-8, but when Duntov threw a fit because it would infringe on the Corvette, GM said, "no thanks". Shelby hadn't even learned about A.C.'s problems yet. When he learned of A.C.'s troubles, which arrived at the same time Ford was releasing their new small block, the Cobra was born, enough said.....

  • it's original AC cobra or custom ?

  • Superformance replica

  • Suggest a better emission freindly (legal)7.0litre. Must be fuel injected and full emissioned.

  • Emissions? Antiques have to pass emissions in Australia? That sucks. In most states in the US cars more then 15-20 years old don't have to, even a brand new replica doesn't have to.

  • @mayhem265

Shelby asked GM for an engine before Ford. GM was retarded and turned him down. Look it up.

In any event, sam is right about emissions and this car was originally AC, not Ford. The LS7 is better. Get over it. I count multiple supercars and kit cars that source LS7's or other Chevy engines. Only a Koenigsegg sourced a Ford and they switched to their own since then. Ford does a decent job but people pick the LS7 for a reason.

  • @mayhem265 You're going to burn in hell. what do you think hes going to put in it? A Ford? Yeah, that bullshit.

Chevy has made the greatest engines in America. SO STFU

And yes, that is a replica. Not a single original Shelby Cobra Had the two Roll Bars

  • Only 444bhp? I thought there'd be over 500bhp coz that LS7's out of the ZO6 Corvette. WTF?

  • 444 was at the wheels, different reading to the 505 at the fly wheel.

  • Maybe 444bhp at the wheels?

  • Doesn't matter if the LS7 is badass, nothing is as badass as the 427 SOHC in a cobra. 427 Cammer > Everything, even the 426 Hemi.

  • The Cobras who have 427 Cammers should be called ''King Cobras'' because they use the ultimate highperformance rewing bigblock monster of the 60s, the Mammoth Engine that stomps on the Chrysler Elephant engine :)

  • Goddamnit people don't you no anything I'm a chevy fan from hell but I will tell ya this, Fords have a great sound to them, actually they sound better than most chevrolets, but if you want a ford to be alot faster then it normally is put a CHEVY ENGINE IN IT, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR IF YOU WANT IT TO RUN, TRUST ME.

  • Thats a Pretty Bad ass Cobra. I thought the exhaust note was gonna be a little off but it ended up soundin pretty sick when it took off. : )

  • no the cobra was british the AC ! but the shelby Cobra was an American supersport version and the only who is a gone to be a legend on road

  • WRONG WRONG, SOOOO WRONG!!!!!!

  • Nice swap and all. But I still find it blasphemous to have a GM engine in that car. Just as bad as people that put GM engines into Model A's.

  • Ac Cobra is american?

I know that Shelby Cobra is British

  • british body, everything else is made by carol shelby... an american

  • ok

    my fault

i was thinking about something else

  • The original AC is british. Shelby is 100% american. Shelby took the AC roadster and gave it a different suspension and power plant.

  • bad ass!!

  • Yeah, its a nice car till you get to the point where you put a Chevy engine in it. Stick to Ford blocks for Fords, geeze.

  • an AC Cobra is not a FORD, it just run a Ford engine

  • Ah, well I guess technically you're right there. But that doesn't make it okay to put a Chevy engine in something thats supposed to be powered by Ford.

....even though its still badass. XD

  • who cares? badass car, and the LS7 is a monster of an engine. its win win

  • Umm....I care....a little bit....kinda.... :-\
