Just think of all the time and effort people had to put in to make the voice, all the different designs that artists worked over while finalizing the image, then everything the animators had to do too . . . @1Animeculture here's another perspective. It's like painting, the finished product SHOULD be recognized but the paint brushes were the extension of the artist. The vocaloids are singers too and are the extensions. Most "POP" singers are singing bought lyrics. I think theres waay more involvement in these vocaloids, from creating lyrics to programming their voice to animating their movement for concerts.

@1Animeculture actually, I think that Miku is an artist's work on her own, since shes a virtual character. Its like saying the same exact thing for the Gorillaz. Its meant to be a virtual singing cartoon. Making a virtual band and having them perform instead of the real artists. They decide to do this willingly, to be behind the characters and the screen. Its an artistic concept and its all together with the cartoon characters AND performers that it makes it amazing.

Through every concert like this one there is a light that shows through her and all the other Vocaloids on stage. This light is from a projector which projects Miku's image onto a glass panel. This is how Miku preforms. ^-^
