I absolutely loved that little dialogue section, just make sure you don't do it too early because there's like 12 guys in the assault team he dispatches. You can talk your way out of the encounter but that's no fun :D

Fallout 1 2 are great games when it comes to storyline, humor, maturity.

Both games give a great feeling. It really feels as fallout should feel.

Fallout 3 and new Vegas are bad games with very nice graphics.

It's like fallout 1 2 is a medium looking girl that is very funny and smart and you could totally see yourself marrying her etc. Fallout 3 and vegas is smoking hot but she is dumb as a duck that you just wanna fuck.

Fallout 2 was easily the best Fallout game. It's my favorite game, as well. Witty dialogue, great storyline, and the game is filled with laughs. I installed the Restoration patch and did this encounter...glad I had a good speech skill, or I'd be screwed.

Actually Enclave Soldiers are remnants of the Pre-War United States government. They believe that humankind wouldn't survive on its own so they decide to keep the most "important." members in order to rebuild the US again. They consider themsevles "pure" human, while the rest of human civilization in the wasteland are considered mutants. So they decide to kill any Wastelander without any remorse. They're like the wasteland version of the Nazis. Pretty fucked up organization.

At least the GOG versions have apparently been modified to work on modern operating systems without os related problems. Of course you could still install the different patches on top of them. The restoration project is a nice mod especially if you have already played the original. It doesn't change game mechanics too much but does a lot of nice little fixes to missions, dialogs and scripting while trying to polish the game to what it was supposed to be.

In my eyes, all the Fallout games are great(except for BOS, not Tactics), but they do have their issues. The problems with the first 2 Fallout games was the repetitive combat, and Fallout 3 didn't have quite as much player freedom as the first 2. I'm happy New Vegas fixed both.

Fallout 2 is probably the most funniest in the series with a lot of pop reference and funny moments. Quite glad that they put back some of the sly humour in the New Vegas as a perk (for those who wants a more series setting that silly scenarios).

@randomUnhold fallout 4 (which will be released in 2013 or 2014) will be a sequel to fallout 2. fallout 3 was made because obsidian and Bethesda bought the series off of black isles so they really didnt want to make something that follows right off of the thing they didnt know much about. i also beg to differ about the east. think about it they can make a fallout game in NYC or down in the Florida Keys. they still have alot of more options for places you just need to use your imagination.

Bought the rights from Interplay. Obsidian had nothing to do with Fallout 3. Not sure about fallout 4, but you have New Vegas, and people that developed New Vegas sure as hell know what fallout was, and is for that matter.

But i agree about New York, Florida, and the eastern states. Hell it would be great to see what happened in Canada. There is a shitload of possibilities here.
