well the dirty fingers sounds really good! so if were going to buy this to replace the pickup theres no point. You could get a more versatile guitar for the same amount of money, I mean a JB or 59 in a hollowbody is never a great idea in my opinion. but that aside, why bother buying this guitar if you don't like the sound? thats all it's about, the paint job isnt that hard to achieve so you may consider doing that to a guitar you like the sound of

it wont sound the same with saymour duncan pickups. if you wanna do that then just get the tom delonge signature strat...the best part of this guitar is the dirty fingers pickup...thats what gives it that crucnhy/punky sound... get this guitar and leave the pickups alone. lol

if you can, bring it to a professional to get the guitar set up. he would intonate the guitar and make sure the neck is straight. all that jazz. you'd be amazed how much it helps

cool, what i will say is use analogue pedals, they are much more expensive but sound better, im using an MXR dime distortion and an MXR EVH flanger here, it's a pretty good guitar, Gibson brite wire strings or Gibson humbucker strings only though, the dime distortion is the only distortion i can get my sound out of, it's so versatile, very bluesy tones it cant do, but most amps can achieve that tone if you want it.....i'll try and get another video up mate
