  • quite funny, and I recognised a couple of friends in it :)

  • Why are there no Crew Credits on this film?

Curious, how much did it cost to make?

  • @caseywalker Credits for JAM are in the sidebar :) Just so we could have Stephen on the end.

  • i saw this on This Morning

  • At 8:03 the guy on the left clearly mimes What the Fuck!

  • No he doesn't.... He says "Wonderful"... Take another look...

  • That's what they want you to think!

  • No... He really does! It's very clear if you look closely!

  • hahahahahah that was so silly XD

  • STEPHEN FRY WOOT

  • Not everything is about charity - they have to make a living too.... I am confident that if they did make a large sum of money from the film, they would give a chunk to charity, but they don't have to make the whole project about charity. They are 18 years old! They have no real money so they can't spent 2 years of their life without getting something back... I own a charity search site so I'm not saying charity is a bad idea, but they shouldn't get all this criticism for such a good idea....

  • Well said Annette....

  • @SexyySheli88 What you wanna chat about?

  • I'm the youngest WORKING producer in Europe, and I got to where I am by actually putting in an infite amount of work and dedication. These kids are going to get nowhere if the film is funded. No studio will get behind them past that. I'm only telling the truth folks, and if you don't like it, you simply don't know the business.

  • @ deminstuis

You may be the youngest 'working' producer...

But they are the youngest working DIRECTORS!! And they've had their work premiered at The Baftas - in London...!!

    And you?... Hmmmm.......Thought so..

  • I don't support this. I believe they should pay their dues as independent film-makers before trying to fund a feature film that to be honest, they aren't going to competently direct a feature at their age.

  • Oh yes they are . . . .

  • If it was for charity it would make complete sence.

It's not so what is the point?

  • Are you asking the question what is the point of making a movie??

  • No, i'm asking the question, what is the point in paying money to have your name in the credits of a film that you have absolutely no input in apart from the money.

If the proceeds all went to charity or like 50p of every pound went to charity then it would make complete sence.

Otherwise, i really do not get it.

  • Well the point is that some people like the idea of seeing their name on the big screen and are willing to pay a small fee for that privilege.

I say fair play to the guys behind it for coming up with an innovative idea that no one else has.

  • Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant idea to raise money to pay for a film you don't have the money to fund...

I see how it benefits the guys making the film, they will make the film with everybody's money, probably make some sort of profit from it themelves and live happily ever after.

But for the people that are funding it "Us" will only see a return in the form of a credit at the end of the film...

  • Why do you think they have to give any profits to charity?! Why should they do that with profits made from their FIRST film?

I think you'd better get on the heels of Tarantino, Scorsese, Spielberg,..... Do you want me to go on?

I think you may have got the point...

Do you give your monthly earnings to charity.....? And, if not, why not?!!

Perhaps you should. It's obviously something you feel strongly about.

    Practice what you preach.

  • You're missing my point...

Yes it is the first film, but to be funded by everyone else?? You'd have to be a fool to go along with this, or mega vain!

  • Not at all.... It's a new idea and it working.. They have made over £110,000 so far according to their last interview... Obviously the public like the idea.... The producers get a film released (which is their dream), the public get their name shown on the big screen AND enjoy a great film..

  • @ lil - alcoholic - breck

Go and have a drink.... And just forget about it. You just don't 'get' it..

    They're 18 years old, for God's sake!!

Bet you wish you had the know-how - and had thought of it first...

    But you didn't, did you?

  • Yeah, lilalcoholicbreck should stop being a miserable old sod lol...

  • Surely if the film is good and you enjoy that is worth the small amount of funding you contribute?

  • I guess so.

    I'm so hungover right now.

  • Now, wouldn't it be a brilliant idea if... The same situatuon occured, but when the film was finally made all the money it earnt went to a charity... Because it will become a dvd, it will show on the tele and maybe even hit a few cinemas.

All the cash it will earn from that will just line their pockets, and i think it's a bloody clever idea!

Just think it would be a better project if all the money after making the film went to a charity...

  • Well Done lads - am glad I am a part producer already. This film is as they say "A credit to you" and me, and everyone else who has supported you. Hope you get lots of support.

  • A very polished production for such a young small team, well done!

  • Well done! I was just going through your blog - was this filmed on Red One?

  • Yes, the entire short was filmed on Red One.

  • It was! Filmed by ZORAN VELJKOVIC

  • Awesome!, really well put together, love the fact Stephen Fry is in there.

  • lindaiw....thats gary rhodes and the point is that he was making all the GOOD jam that she got credit for

  • I really wanted to like it but I think it just missed the mark, however it is very good for a first attempt. Keep going and I am sure you will do really well.

  • I hate to say this but, I have no idea what happened at the en of that film! What was thast man doing with the jam? Why was he wearing tape over his mouth? Why was he there in the first place? Did it have anything to do with those two empty seats?

  • Lindaiwe... The point is, that the 'man with the tape over his mouth, and tied up', was that HE was supposed to be the judge, but, as HE is a renowned chef in England, Mrs. Desirandelle had 'hijacked' HIM, to make the jam for HER - so that should would definitely win the competition! Does that make it clearer for you...? :-))

  • Oooh, right! That sounds easy enough... Should've seen it. Thanks for the explanation!

  • Wow I thought Stephen would look very old losing so much weight, but he looks amazing! absolutely gorgeous...

  • Nice looking but drawn out. Enjoyed it but felt like a six minute story stretched to 10. Will still be contributing!

  • Like below, love the actors, love the idea, don't love the piece. Very dated. A little like Anglia Televisions 'Tales of the Unexpected". I do however want to congratulate you for your enterprise.

  • these guys are good. such a good idea- buy a credit- genius.

a good old english comedy :)

ca't wait to see the rest!

  • Stephen Fry :)

  • Sorry... love all the actors and actresses individually... but the story and plot of this was soooo contrived and badly written... didn't enjoy it at all...

  • I had to let this load... but so glad I did!

Enjoyed this so much: thanks for posting!

    Bravo!!

    nahatsu
