some one tell me the model number of the 80 gig ps3 that has the graphics synthesizer that enables ps2 emulation. i have a 60 gig ps3 but i would rather have a 80 gig b/c, maybe the fan wouldnt be so noisy. if any one knows let me know.

you have to get the early 80 gig model,which they dont make anymore,the later 801 gig cant play ps2 games sadly

The 80 gig ps3 emulates ps2 games an the 60 gig does not it all ready has all the hardware to play the disk so it does,int need the emulation to play ps2 games all though the 60 gig can still emulate though linux. I know cause i used to own a 60 gig an had linux installed with snes emulation now i got a 80 gig which i think emulates better an faster

The PS2's emotion engine chip is emulated on the 80GB PS3. The 60GB PS3 has the emotion engine chip built into it, therefore, the 60GB doesn't need emulation when playing PS2 games.
