It's good that they make a new world. The first meeting with Rapture was amazing, and if they can capture the same moments with this new city it will be amazing. I've never played Bioshock 2 because I didn't want to be dissapointed. Playing as a Big Daddy? They're supposed to be the biggest threat, which they won't if you're one yourself. Just my opinion, and fair enough if you enjoyed the game. I just didn't like the concept.

The developers are trying to do what they did with the first game, create a new experience. They arent trying to stray from their roots, but they dont want to sell the same game every time either. They built a new world to amaze and frighten us. The first bioshock did just that, and I feel like this one will do that as well, with an in-depth storyline and beautiful, strange, and oddly familiar surroundings. It's got everything bioshock 1 had, just with different delivery. I will love it.

And no, bio just means it pertains to living organisms. So it still relates to the series as Infinite will have plasmids.

@ToAsTy42o They're not plasmids, they're 'vigors'. They're almost identical to plasmids, but instead of all being powered by a single resource, they have limited uses (and they're also drunk instead of injected). and There's also 'Nostrums', which are basically gene tonics.
