If you worry about 0-60, speed, and the bling/picks-up-girls factor, buy neither of these cars. Get a Gallardo and be done with it. These cars are for the more pompous, show-offey (in a good way :D) people, who like travelling in luxury, probabbly with a chauffeur. Of the two, I'd take the Bentley, i'd take any Bentley over any Rolls any day. But I'd much prefer a Gallardo to either of them :)

The Ghost is not really a Rolls, Rolls made a name cause of their engine technology, the Ghost being powered by BMW is a downside on the other hand the Mulsanne is powered by a NEW Bentley power plant they could have easy gone with an Audi or VW but they chose not to. The Muslanne is as close to 100% Bentley as you can get.

Someone near my house has got a white mulsanne(im in dubai) and yes it is a nice car but its way too expensive, Same guy used to have a 2010 BMW 750li and says that the bmw is a nicer car to drive because it handles better. The Bentley is too big and heavy and he doesnt really like it and said he will buy a 760li next.

I don't think RR is above Bentley, they are on a par with each other and much better than anyone else. They do make different types of car now and although the Continental is less expensive it is a great car. The only people who criticise the Continental are people who don't own one or have never driven it. Personally, I don't know how they doit for the money.

@lewebatch. Most of the Phantom is manufactured in Germany then shipped to Goodwood for assembly. Not sure about Ghost but its probably the same deal.

All parts for build are on a trolley for the various stages of production.

Having said that I was lucky enough to drive a Phantom a few years ago & Boy oh Boy What a car. Absolutely sublime.

The new Bentley is awesome. If you want something flashy it's better to get a Lamborghini, flashy sedans like the new Rolls are kind of tacky. Simple elegant sedans and flashy exotic super cars are the way to go, not the other way around.

The Bentley looks kinda weird in front but i do like the Rolls-Royce Ghost... tho i would prefer it without the silver bonnet. Other than that, they both are premium cars. I really like the back of the Ghost... looks very nice, nicer than the Fanthom's. And the interior... i think it looks the same in terms of quality. Very good cars both, but the Mulsanne has some really weird second headlights :|

Theres a very good reason in places where theres lots of ppl with money u find many S-classes(ex.London), because its got the best toys and interior environment out of its competitors. Both Bentley and RR are perfect marriages of expertise: German engineering and English craftsmanship. You just need to look at a soulless appliance like the Maybach to see what happens when you leave the English out., so don't knock it.

The RR V-12 is simply the 7-series N74 V-12. At least the top end Bentleys are still bodied and engined with British parts and built in the original Crewe factory by ex-RR/Bentley employees. All BMW got in the deal was the "RR" and radiator shell trademarks.

The engine is the old pusher from the 50's but has the latest German upgrades. Bentley and VW have made a fantastic marriage as have BMW and Rolls Royce, without either partner we would not have these fantastic cars. So to say "everything else is German" is sad really but as you are not from Europe I can understand your painful jealous of our talents.

I hated the Bentley until I saw it in person at the Auto Show. It is really quite nice and impressive.

I love the Ghost also, gorgeous car.
