Does he mean to ask if the Fed trades stocks, long or short, in an effort to move a particular market or the market in general? Does he mean do they adjust interest rates in an *attempt* to move the market one way or another? Adjusting rates inevitably does have an effect on markets, of course. Is that what he meant by "manipulating'?

I couldn't agree more. But the fact remains that Rep. Grayson needed to clarify what he means by "manipulating the market" as the witness requested. Does he mean to ask if the Fed trades stocks, long or short, in an effort to move a particular market or the market in general? Does he mean do they adjust interest rates in an *attempt* to move the market one way or another? Adjusting rates inevitably does have an effect on markets, of course. Is that what he meant by "manipulating'?

@biancademonet Hey Bianca Adolph maybe dead but his ideas still live on thru others and his book Mein Kampf is still being sold in bookstores I saw a copy myself and that book is considered very important in the Arab world.Hitler is a hero over there as opposed to Churchill who's as popular as a STD.And when its comes to facism it neary reard its ugly head again in the form of ex-NYC mayor Rudi Guliani it was said that he ran a police state while in his role as mayor.

Am i just blind or shouldn't more Politicians be asking this paramount question which would expose the immoral role of banking cartels we affectionally call the FED? thats right most politicians dont care about us. they only want to get re-elected to make more money. i love how transparent and honest most of our GOV officials are. i just hope REP Grayson doesnt somehow commit "suicide"? i fear for you and Ron Paul.
