This is stupid. For most people, being a Christian shouldn't involve quitting your job and abandoning your family. Neither of those are necessary to get into heaven.

Think about it - religious people clearly understand that the law can punish them after they commit a crime, but it never seems to occur to them that god might punish them before they commit one.
Religion is mostly a cultural thing. We don't put much thought into whether we should follow a football team, be a fan of a musician, or artist. Life just unfolds according to genetics and environment. Christians often decide to be one because of family and friends, and then practice their religion the way they do.
The argument in this video is flawed. That Christians don't act impulsively upon their faith doesn't mean they don't genuinely believe it. It's like when a kid procrastinates his homework knowing that doing so will have terrible repercussions, which is what I'm doing right now...

The criteria to "salvation" is pretty laid out, and it does not necessarily include sacrificing yourself to save a hundred fellows. They don't act like the black and white interpretation of what someone would act about fellow humans receiving said things, but do act upon it nonetheless.
@Zimx02 it wasn't mentioned in the video but I did an experiment asking christians if they would give up salvation to save 100 innocents from hell. The majority said "God won't make me choose that." Like they know the mind of a god -___- The atheists and pagans on the other hand almost universally gave up salvation to help their fellow humans. It seems like the opposite should be the case now doesn't it :3

Has any REAL Christian ever said they are better than anyone else because they are Christian? They have said they are right. But not better. They have the right to say they are correct just as an atheist is to believe in naturalism or a Hindu can believe in Hinduism. We try to follow gods word but while we know we fail we keep going. God is not going to be materialistic. You WILL NOT FIND HIM with science!
The implication of this video is not that christians think they are better, merely that they ought to feel a moral obligation to constantly proselytize to their irreligious peers given their beliefs. certainly, if I held those beliefs, I would not be able to bare the thought of my fellow humans suffering eternal torment or missing out on eternal reward.

@1Surge Evolution is a theory in the same way that gravity is a theory. They are called theories in science so that they are able to be updated as new information becomes apparent but the basic principle of how they work is a fact. Evolution explains the diversity of life, the origins of life is not part of the theory of evolution, so the fact that we do not know (yet) how life originated that does not lessen the fact that evolution cause the diversity of life.

@1Surge Theory should remain so as latter evidence may adjust it. But it is more than an opinion as theories have predictive power. A hypothesis on the other hand does not have predictive power, and evidence that it can make predictions need to be found. For example intelligent design and believe in a creator is a hypothesis as they have not been shown to be able to make predictions. If you look at the evidence that supports evolution from many different fields it is obvious that this is how the diversity of life occurred.

If a crate of bibles is sent in place of a crate of food or medical supplies, that is not helping. If the motivation was to truly help, and not just convert, you would leave your bibles and beliefs at home and just focus on helping.

Religion is mostly a cultural thing. We don't put much thought into whether we should follow a football team, be a fan of a musician, or artist. Life just unfolds according to genetics and environment. Christians often decide to be one because of family and friends, and then practice their religion the way they do.

The criteria to "salvation" is pretty laid out, and it does not necessarily include sacrificing yourself to save a hundred fellows. They don't act like the black and white interpretation of what someone would act about fellow humans receiving said things, but do act upon it nonetheless.

Like they know the mind of a god -___- The atheists and pagans on the other hand almost universally gave up salvation to help their fellow humans. They are called theories in science so that they are able to be updated as new information becomes apparent but the basic principle of how they work is a fact. Evolution explains the diversity of life, the origins of life is not part of the theory of evolution, so the fact that we do not know (yet) how life originated that does not lessen the fact that evolution cause the diversity of life.

A hypothesis on the other hand does not have predictive power, and evidence that it can make predictions need to be found. @vesperus1981 I do think that some good does come from missionaries and such. But also a lot of evil. Helping people while pushing dogmatic beliefs upon them is not helping. If a crate of bibles is sent in place of a crate of food or medical supplies, that is not helping. If the motivation was to truly help, and not just convert, you would leave your bibles and beliefs at home and just focus on helping.

Some bits of the Bible disgust me. Exodus Chapter 21 disgusts me. Luke 19:27 disgusts me. No God of peace and love would ever include those words in the Bible, so either he's malevolent or by definition not real.
