I think I especially love the music when Simba announces his return, then when he leaps on Scar after learning that he had been innocent about his father's death after all these years, and then comes the start of the battle between the lions and hyenas. The music is also very epic when Simba spots Scar and chases him to the top of Pride Rock.
@mannardme I always wondered how old Simba was in the film. The other Disney films directly state the age of its main characters (both Ariel, Aurora and Jasmine were 16, Aladdin was 18, the Beast/Prince Adam was 21...), but they never state Simba's age. Here is my bet: he was 10 when he was exiled from the Pride Lands, and 20 when he returned.
leave it to hanz zimmer to involve you in what is actualy going on in a movie, his music is simply put brilliant and his use of it is powerfull, who didnt feel as though they were on pride rock with him in the final scene
@saharaxwolfie Now, this looks familiar, hmmm, let's see... oh yes! This is just how your father looked before he died. And here's MY little secret: I... killed... Mufasa.
oww i had all that theme songs when i was young and i lost the tape XD but well you have all of them here and modified that the ones i had good video ;)
Hans Zimmers score for the Lion King is easily on my list of favorite film scores along with his Gladiator score, Howard Shores Lord of the Rings score, Trevor Jones's Dark Crystal one, Micheal Nymans Gattaca one, Javier Navarrete's Pans Labyrinth music, The Fifth Element soundtrack by Eric Serra and John Williams Harry Potter, Star Wars and Jurassic Park scores.
@musicalsrawesome6 Some people think that by disliking good videos they can make people decide against watching it for their own personal reasons. It's a lame concept, but people do actually do that haha
I loved this part of the movie. The cruelty of Scar left--I don't mean when he died, I mean when Simba helped his mother after Scar hit her, because the kindness and decency that had been missing came back with Simba.
i love this movie from when i was childrern to today... 23 years old with whiclds nad womans... wich are not hear this movie......i hate my countrie Bulgaria
The best villains in ANY form of entertainment are never too barbaric.... they never go "IMMA GONNA KILL YOU AND.... AND IT'LL HURT!!!!"
They're always the ones who are like, *sticks pinky to corner of mouth* "Oh, I'm going to exterminate you, now... however, I'm going to be ever so sophisticated and refined as I do it."
@TheRandomDamsel It also sounds eerily like the opening hymn "Dies Irae" which talks about the final judgment, where the sinners get cast into Hell. And, if you recall, at this point there are flames surrounding Pride Rock, making it very hellish indeed.
@Phersephoie It's a chant. Search "Dies Irae" and it's the one that says either "Gregorian Chant" or just "Dies Irae". With the first couple lines it has the same rythm as the "menacing flutes" from 2:26
One of the best films I've ever seen!! And I love the score, although it is widely taken from classical pieces such as Mozarts Ave Verum Corpus. Still, my favourite film score of all time!!
This is one of the best disney's films.. I love it!! And the soundtrack's fantastic... Hans Zimmer is GREAT! In my head I see film's scenes when I listen to this music......
@sofymo and it's a pity that Disney hasn't been able to capture my heart with another... Well... Tarzan was okay, but... That wasn't nearly as Epic as this! This one brings me to tears if I let myself fully feel the music and then it enraptures me with a joy so pure...
As a musician I would definitely like to even look at the score, hearing it, is such an experience itself, I love Disney so much it's ridiculous, and I seriously would love to be part of the ensemble that plays this music, and only the Renaissance era(everything from Little Mermaid to Tarzan)
i normaly like the bad guys, because they can be really goofy, and are normaly cool - but scar. he is the evilist bad guy ever. i think it really hits you when he is standing at the edge of the cliff, and just watching. really evil. i don't even like mufasa that much, but...
You forget that EVIL dude in the huncheback of Notre Dame! (forgot his name) Practily burning Paris to the ground just becouse he want that girl (Esmeralda?) so bad.... THAT way....
But, yea... Scar is the DEVIL! (In "Be prepared" backwards it acctually sounds like he is saying " I'm satan motherf*cker" xD)
Banzai: Hey, who's the pig? Pumbaa: Ya talkin' to me? Timon: Uh-oh! You called him a pig. Pumbaa: (angrier) Are you talking to me? Timon: Shouldn't have done that. Pumbaa: (loud and even angrier) Are you talking to me?! Timon: Now, there in for it. Pumbaa: (slowly) They call me MR. PIG!!! (screams as he charges at everyone) Take that, you stupid! Timon: Take that, and that! (hyena trio runs away from Timon and Pumbaa) Pumbaa: Whoo! Run, ya yellow-bellied...! All: Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo!
Hey! Everyone who listens to TLK score!!! I was thinking that I should upload a newer version of it with much higher quality audio. I was just wondering if any of you would want that...
