I feel like the DLC system of this game is kinda unfair. Each country has it own unique DLC, which is cool, but the release of DLC in each country is pretty dumb.
Kinda lame how you can only get these dlc just if you preorder...hopefully they eventually make them available on psn so everyone can get a chance to fight Omega and get extra costumes. I'll be freakin' pissed if they don't make it dlc...

@xurfer128 omega is a DLC only mob that is in a separate combat Colosseum and has no part in the game or story and so far pre-order is the only possible way to get him.

Just finished Omega... 5 times. Not because he's easy to beat (which he is, anyway), but because I still don't have his crystal. Does anyone know the reason?
@ProSaiyan The crystal drops are the same as taming any other monster. You can get a skill that gives an added crystal drop rate, but the best way to get a better drop rate is to go ahead and finish Omega off with a feral link attack each time.
I got some good news. I bought the Pre Order pack for my PS3 becuz I wanted that steel box so badly, but they didnt had any PS3 left so I bought the Xbox version instead. The steelbox is the same but I have this DLC code like you see in the trailer. Its all in how you play people. You gotta constantly being thinking ahead. There is this one boss Gorgyra, has 884000 hp, I nearly beat her and my characters were under 2000 hp. My issue was, my monsters where not developed enough to really do big damage.
I fought him with just over 2k hp and got very close to beating him. His wave cannon gets a little more punch to it towards the end though, so I got one-shotted while I had full hp. I anticipate it being a pretty easy battle with around 3k though. One of my paradigms is tortoise (sentinal x3). Just get ur hp back to max while he's charging, switch to tortoise, and get ready to throw down steelguard (or mediguard for Noel).
So people stop asking this dlc will be released by north America's square Enid every two weeks in the spring time some is going to be free and some paid

Omega was the preorder bonus, I know I got with Amazon. First DLC I seen, was Serah's weapon and bought it. You can purchase that from Chocolina when you first meet her. Omega not encountered him yet. I hope they add the outfits. I wold think we should see them on the network because they have a big empty section for clothes. I hope its easier to upgrade the weapons then FF 13, of course money is real hard to earn in that game.

You know what annoys me about this? I haven't been following FFXIII-2 too closely but I downloaded the demo, enjoyed it but one of the things that swayed me into ordering the game was Omega at the end of the trailer following the demo. I've search all over the net and have never seen anything about DLC ending. DLC to expand the game more with even more content yes, to understand the story better yes, but for a "True ending"? no. Once again, some people are overly assuming things that they don't even know about. Didn't it ever cross anybodies mind that there might be a 3rd game?

@tokyobassist ROFL the " True ending " is in the game its not DLC there are 9 endings the last 1 you can get you have to get all 160 fragments Among other things, to do this you will need to see all 8 Paradox endings, encounter and defeat all non-DLC monsters, and explore every map fully.

It's NOT, there is no TRUE ENDING from DLC, true ending exists when you've seen all the paradox endings and colllected all fragments which doesn't require DLC.
Scenes with Omega and Lightning says "Collesseum Battle" so I'm guessing there's going to be a battle arena (FF7) type thing in which Omega is the last boss (note: I haven't looked into the Japanese release, dont want to).
Also Lightning may be like a bonus round boss after Omega or the actual final boss, who knows. She says something like "Took your time getting here, you guys won't beat me."

Yes. But, what's the point of a game, when you don't know how it ends? i may understand that for Silent Hill (wich want the player to be confused about what happened), but in a FF game, where story is everything, i'd like to have an ending.
Or, at least, a "canon" ending.
Add this to the fact that FF XIII story's was really a mess and have huge plotholes (so, it needed a full explaination in its sequel), and we'll have a FFXIII+III-2 with no head or tail

Lightning is apparently, defeated by Caius at the very beginning of the game. So when you see Lightning in cutscenes, this was BEFORE she was defeated. THUS before she met NOEL in Valhalla because Valhalla is timeless so it doesn't run according to the real world. So when Lightning is narrating the timeline, she is already dead, or stone. Also, Lightning is defeated by Caius, literally minutes before the final showdown between Caius, Noel, Serah.
Final Fantasy 13 had the worst characters by far, Lightning/Fang were awesome but having to play with other main characters sucked. 13 was the only FF where I didn't know what the heck was going on and I skipped most of the cutscenes which is so unlike me(MGS:4) the story nor the battle pleased me. I look at FF versus and I would prefer that battle system but I don't know what the heck they are doing with 13.2 I didn't upgrade nobody but Lightning and still breeze thru the game like it was no

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, especially mine, but is there ANY chance the Western version of FFXIII-2 will ship with the Omega DLC? They put it at the end of the trailer in the playable demo AND a release date for the DLC hasn't been announced for the West yet. Is it possible? Like they did with the European version of FFX?

A whole bunch of gamers playing an FFVII WITHOUT Ruby and Emerald Weapon in it. And probably without Vincent and Yuffie too. I shit you not, the fucking tables are IN THE GOD DAMN GAME, but you can't use them until you get the DLC. That sir, is fucking absurd.
Also, I guerentee you that Omega will be released as DLC for a price, Square is now obviously cash hungry.

You know what annoys me about this? I haven't been following FFXIII-2 too closely but I downloaded the demo, enjoyed it but one of the things that swayed me into ordering the game was Omega at the end of the trailer following the demo. And I only just found out NOW that it's fucking DLC. And the way they showed it -- right at the end of the trailer, as a teaser -- they KNEW it was just a hook into getting you to buy the game. It's false advertising. Fuck DLC. ¬_¬

I've search all over the net and have never seen anything about DLC ending. DLC to expand the game more with even more content yes, to understand the story better yes, but for a "True ending"? no. Once again, some people are overly assuming things that they don't even know about. Didn't it ever cross anybodies mind that there might be a 3rd game?

@tokyobassist ROFL the " True ending " is in the game its not DLC there are 9 endings the last 1 you can get you have to get all 160 fragments Among other things, to do this you will need to see all 8 Paradox endings, encounter and defeat all non-DLC monsters, and explore every map fully.

It's NOT, there is no TRUE ENDING from DLC, true ending exists when you've seen all the paradox endings and colllected all fragments which doesn't require DLC.

Scenes with Omega and Lightning says "Collesseum Battle" so I'm guessing there's going to be a battle arena (FF7) type thing in which Omega is the last boss (note: I haven't looked into the Japanese release, dont want to).
Also Lightning may be like a bonus round boss after Omega or the actual final boss, who knows. She says something like "Took your time getting here, you guys won't beat me."

Yes. But, what's the point of a game, when you don't know how it ends? i may understand that for Silent Hill (wich want the player to be confused about what happened), but in a FF game, where story is everything, i'd like to have an ending.
Or, at least, a "canon" ending.
Add this to the fact that FF XIII story's was really a mess and have huge plotholes (so, it needed a full explaination in its sequel), and we'll have a FFXIII+III-2 with no head or tail

Lightning is apparently, defeated by Caius at the very beginning of the game. So when you see Lightning in cutscenes, this was BEFORE she was defeated. THUS before she met NOEL in Valhalla because Valhalla is timeless so it doesn't run according to the real world. So when Lightning is narrating the timeline, she is already dead, or stone. Also, Lightning is defeated by Caius, literally minutes before the final showdown between Caius, Noel, Serah.

Final Fantasy 13 had the worst characters by far, Lightning/Fang were awesome but having to play with other main characters sucked. 13 was the only FF where I didn't know what the heck was going on and I skipped most of the cutscenes which is so unlike me(MGS:4) the story nor the battle pleased me. I look at FF versus and I would prefer that battle system but I don't know what the heck they are doing with 13.2 I didn't upgrade nobody but Lightning and still breeze thru the game like it was no

This is obvious for all games with a storyline, especially for RPGs because these games have the most cutscenes and are the most story-oriented out of all the genres. You won't understand the hell is happening if you don't watch the cutscene dumbass. Seriously, use some common sense.
