  • i went on this flight on my first trip to the states!

  • Wow.Just won myself an $1000 Continental Airlines Gift Card at [continental.freegiftworld.info]

  • This a 757. CO dnt fly 737s across the Atlantic.

  • what the fuck kind of landing is that?

  • I love the piano tune at the welcome video at 0:27-0:30

  • This was a 737.

  • Recorded information..very impersonal and regimented

  • Airline food on Economy always taste like shit. Also hate the infomercial Continental plays in the start. If you bought the ticket already why advertise. The determining factor in you flying with them again, is that do good job not that waste your time with saying that will be doing a good job. Anyways flying with them in May from Aalborg (Denmark) to Denver. Like that they shifted to Star Alliance so that you now can get the regional leg with an European Alliance partner in the same ticket.

  • @juuls26 i had beef and it tasted really nice!

  • i like continetal airlines but i thought there economy food was dreadful but they do do cheap flights. there food was terrible compared to air canadas.

  • You said "do do." lol :)

  • I love COA 757's!

  • i despise them nj

  • Nice video!! What seat were you sitting in?

  • what seat are you in? my brother is flying continental from burlington to portland, OR next weekend and he is in row 20 on a 737-800.....

  • I love Continental!!!

  • i always fly contentel

  • I am pilot of Continental Air Lines love the company, I invite you pilot from 787-8 to walk in this one is very good!

  • so where do start, and what is your target?

  • i fly continental everytime i go from denver to guatemala, and it's the best airline. their people is the best, and they are so caring. i remember when all airlines stopped giving food to flyers, continental did not, and their food even on coach is great. i said a prayer for them because it really broke my heart to see such an airline do that for their customers. that's why i will only fly continental, for their care to their customers, even in hard times

  • thats not weird at all cesaralex

  • love the safety tip and taxing cool aircraft nice engine sound

  • i flew SNN-EWR last year!!!! it was amazing. They seem to be so in love with there jobs(cabin crew). please come to ireland and support this service!!!!!

    shannon aiport are loosing business!!!!!

  • Sad thing is that the 757-200 does not have the ETOPS certification form the FAA, but yet Continental continues to fly the 757 on transatlantic routes, pushing it range and limits to near breaking, the 757 WAS NOT designed by Boeing to be a long range airliner, it is a short to medium range airliner. One of these days Continental is going to find out the tragic way, that by trying to save and use smaller planes not designed for the job they will be forced to use a widebody.

  • That is untrue. 757-200's powered by either Rolls Royce or Pratt & Whitney engines have had 180 minute ETOPS certification from the FAA since the early 1990's. The Boeing 757-200 is an ideal aircraft for this mission.

  • Comment removed

  • Yea , ive heard about the 757 and its limited range etc but it truelly is a magnificant aircraft. I think its fully capable flying acrosst the atlantic , otherwise i wouldnt be flying with Continental for the 4th time :)

  • question is there inflight entertainment on this flight

  • i love the 757-200 atlantic routes, TXL-EWR every summer

  • Nice video bud, this was business first or coach?

  • i would assume its coach, hes directly next to the engine. First consumes around the first 8 rows on Continental's 757's. But yes, this is coach.

  • air planes are sexy! ; ]

  • bless you!

  • its history, Continental cancelled the flights between Cologne and New York-Newark at the 3th of September 2008. But also the flight were full in the summer, unbeleavible. Its not a problem to fly over the Atlantic with an B 757.

    so long

  • i went from manchester to newark liberty on one of these things and after reading all the negative comments for it i didnt think it was that bad...

  • finally that weird engine sound stopped.

  • the 757 is one of the most wonderful aircraft made, famous for its lowspeed approach and short runways capablity, its a magnificient aircraft, sadly it is no build any more,757 is a history, any airbus aircraft, would have ever!!! its clear..ok i hope soo!

  • I don't know if I could do ~8 hours in a 757.

  • i was in one for 7 hours EWR-MAD

  • lol not an airbus, 757

  • I have been on the road on final approach a lot, I love seeing planes on short final!

  • I hate the sound of a 757, but that seemed like a pretty smooth takeoff and landing

  • The 757 has an awesome sound!

  • it's a 757 for the 100th time!!!!!!!!

    I was on that flight.

  • Continenetal only flies boeings. It's a boeing 757

  • They also say that it's a 757 in the video at 1:05.

  • Air India 737? How's that supposed to make it? Or am I mistaken?

  • probably going to connecting air india most likely in LAX, SFO, or JFK

  • no its an Air Berlin 737

  • Referring to the other 737s seen at the beginning of this video of course

  • Here at continental we try our best to provide you with an excellent service. It is true that we use 757-200 for transatlantic flights and 757-300s are used on domestic flights. Winglets are retrofitted on all the 757s and some 737s for fuel efficiency. Thanks for flying continental.. and thanks for this video.

  • Ill go to Lima on an 8 hour flight on a 757-200 one day.

  • why don't they fly with a 767 to cologne/bonn ?!?

I also had no idea that the 757 is used for transatlantic flights!!!

  • wow, I had no idea 757's are used for transatlantic flight!

  • Nice video!

  • I like the Continental Airlines security announcements. CO 111 is a great video!!!

  • continental is my favorit airliner i fly always with continetal when i go to the us its by far the best airliner the introduction video speaks by far the true its the best and will stay the best

  • Continental Airlines is by far the best US airline.. Go Continental..

  • Wouldn't go that far but fact is that continental is much better than most competitors especially Lufthansa!

  • Ditto, at least as far as legroom goes. I couldn't believe how cramped the B747 I flew from EDDF To KBOS in October 2006 was. My German friends have the same complaints but tell me that planes in their domestic fleet tend to be roomier.

  • @kai84m U.S Airways, Continental and more...

    aren't they all 1 continental?

  • Was this a 737 on a trans-Atlantic flight???? Didn't know they did this...

  • NO! 757-200 with winglets cologne to newark

  • No! The only 737's capable of handling such distances are the BBJ's! This was a 757-200.

  • @kai84m Right. Copa Airlines 737's go to Los Angeles to Panama City,Panama and back directly without stopping.

  • Continental is ehh... But I like their preflight announcements. Must be flying out of Europe. Spanair, Air Berlin...definately mainland europe.

  • Very good!!! I love airline videos... keep 'em coming!! Thank You

  • I would love to be mounted in that airplane

  • Very Nice Video!! COA Rules.

  • I will go to Newark on flight 751 on July 21th, and back on flight 743 on August 5th. All on board B757 I guess.

  • i believe the term "international version" is incorrect....CO dispatches alotta Wingletted 757s on domestic flights, i.e. LAS-EWR, LAS-IAH IAH-EWR...and even their 757-300s...

  • All of CO's 757s i believe are getting retrofitted with winglets

  • thats kinda what i was gettin at.. :)

  • yeah, because i go from john wayne to newark every year on continental and the 737 even uses winglets

  • 737-700 737-800

  • I'll be on this flight August 7th.

  • wow i can guess that was probably a 13 or 14 hour flight if you flew from another country to good'ol usa XD I flew to france ounce and it took around 15 hours... omg it sucked....

  • No, Cologne -> EWR is about 8 to 8 1/2 hours.

  • Sir, could you turn that off please. All portable electronic devices must be turned off and stowed. Thanks. LMAO

  • how long does this flight take?

  • Approx 7:30 from CGN to EWR and around 6:45 to return due to jetstream!

  • i love newark

  • i flew to usa in october 2001 brilliant

  • OMG Im going on this same flight on friday to Germany! Crazy stuff! I go from Pensacola, FL, to ATL, then to Newark and to Cologne for carnival!!WOOHOO fUn stuff
