amazing guitar..I own 2 of them, the other in white. if you like Les pauls and metal you should check out this guitar. Plays better than any ltd/epiphone/gibson/bc rich/dean/etc.. under 1200 $ . I just swapped neck & bridge pickups. the 89 has a fuller sound with more definition, and definately you would sound different from other emg81s bridge guitars

played one of these yesterday OMFG! this guitar is PERFECT! i plugged into the new 6505+ with one of these it sounded so heavy but sooo clear! the action was amazing and the guitar was amazingly resonant i was planning on getting a cheaper guitar but after playing this im gonna save up for it definately worth the money

I just bought one of these guitars a couple days ago and i like a lot, sure he can play real fast and it's take a lot of practice but it sounds like shit, to me the fast you play the less musical it sounds

actually it's harder to play at a slower to medium tempo especially when you are trying play a song or write a song that has a lot of emotion and feeling in it, you got to hit those notes just right, hammer-on's, pull-off, bending sliding knowing when to stop and start again and all that stuff that makes up a real good song with melody and catchy riff.

I would really recommend the atx blackjack to this one. Not there's anything wrong with this guitar, but you're paying quite a bit for the finish and other aesthetics with this guitar. You'd get more bang for your buck with a blackjack. You should also look into other brands like Jackson's soloist which is pretty kickass too. Look up the specs and see which kind of pickups/woods you like better.

the neck is a bit thick, like a gibsons. It's good if you got bigger hands. If you got smaller hands, you might be better off choosing something like Ibanez's Wizard II neck

is the neck the same as a c1?? i own a schecter omen -6 wich is the same as a c1 but with lower quality wood and pickups (the even more economic version)

I honestly couldnt tell you. My Solo 6 is the first schecter I ever played (and bought). I dont see why it wouldnt be the same size, when I played Ibanez, the necks were all generally thin, so I'd imagine they would be. your best bet is to go your nearest guitar store and find out.

I have the hellraiser. I put on some DR 11 gauge strings, and it screams metal. The EMGs in it blew away the SDBs I had in my Ibanez that I traded for it. I paid $500 with my Ibanez trade in, but it retails for $750, which I wouldve paid if I didnt trade
