Do you happen to have any tips for where to stand on the rafting board? It always says "OUT OF RANGE" with IS and archers usually kill me first before its in-range :<

@rainysoshi It's tougher now without the double spawns in ch6 and 7. Back then it lagged more, making it easier to get ice spear off.

Nowadays, I try to spear an entire group of 4 each time I pass by. Works for archers and mage groups. Most of the time, I can get at least a couple jumpers before they can hop onto the raft. I also use bolt to finish off the magic ice shield users before shooting spear (it gets blocked otherwise). If all else fails, just play dead. =p

@gorthjrod Ice spear is pretty easy to train. The AP requirement is the only hard part, so yeah you'll have to be patient.

I gained around 65 AP per week (lvl 50, explore 15, age 2-3 AP), and did the 2 rebirths every 3 weeks trick (1 paid, 1 free). So it probably took me close to 10 weeks to get. Rank 5 is good enough for turning it into your main skill though.

lol this is exactly what i do except i use thunder and no mp pots either :P and when g10 comes out, rafting rewards increase/cap quests gone. cant wait for that gettin to level 25 explore quick and easy huh

Ice Spear is useful even for humans, getting MP potions isn't that hard for an experienced character XP

Also, if you know what to do at Cor, it doesn't take that long.

Can't wait for the patch to remove repeating-need of Cap qeusts. Then characters only ever have to do them once.
