  • it's like i'm a kid again whenever i listen to this. oh sweet memories. hahaha!

  • She looks like one of the Deal sisters from the Breeders :)

  • This melody makes me remind rather the best of my teenage life.....Lima 1995

    Saludos Loreto-Peru

  • I'm feelin' good .... just to hear this awesome song again!!!!

  • If you like Jen Trynin you should read her book, Everything I'm Cracked Up To Be.. I'm reading it for school and it's amazing. ♥

  • Seriously, who are the 7 douchebags who thumbed it down? This song rocks!

  • Effing FANTASTIC tune

  • any chance of posting my fav from this album - "Beg" - ?

  • 3 more yrs & Jen will turn the big 50...has it really been that long lol?

  • This is quality 90's college rock & it also got quite a few spins on AOR radio back in 1995. I remember "Better Than Nothing" being played during the overnight hrs on the Columbus AOR station back in the day. I could never remember the artist. Glad I found this. Pretty good stuff.

  • Dang it's been forever since I've heard this one. Thank you! One of my favs.

  • Finally I found this! I was starting to give up. Thanks for the up load. :)

  • you all should read her book...it's quite interesting

  • Should have been a bigger hit in 1995.

  • LOL che reminds me of the girl Frank Zappa talks about in "Fine Girl":

    "... SHE'LL CHANGE YOUR TIRES..."

  • good little kick-ass video. humorous ending

  • why do so few female artists ROCK like this these days?? I think KT Tunstall is pretty much the only one not sucked into the shitty black hole known as crappy pop music

  • i'm reading her book, which i bought for .50 at big lots... it's not bad.

  • Just finished reading her book, "Everything I'm Cracked Up To Be" not 30 minutes ago. Another one of of those music business mysteries where a great artist somehow fails to connect in a big way. Timing IS everything I guess. Glad to read that she's doing well and happy these days. Better than nothing.... ;-)

  • My most played song on iTunes now.

  • please please post Snow

  • Read her book, "Everything I'm Cracked Up To Be"

  • 1995 WFNX and WBCN in Boston had this on all the time, such a great time to be alive. God I miss the 90s, can we get it back?

  • @quadleaf95 FNX was the station where I first heard Jen's song "Getaway (February) which is absolute pop perfection. I wish more of her music was uploaded to YT.

  • Read her book - it's awesome just like her music.=)

  • Amazingly produced track.

  • I was 14 when this song came out. I loved it then and I still love it now. It's a shame the song didn't have any radio staying power, whereas one-hit wonders like the Toadies (Possum Kingdom) and Spacehog (In The Meantime), which came out around the same time, still get extensive radio play. I like both of the aforementioned songs but why didn't this one get to live on too?

  • Thanks for posting, I used to love Jen and wish music were still this awesome...

  • Smart, sexy, Jen...

  • I remember this song from 120 minutes... Remember how great 120 minutes was? I miss the 90's, super creative, kick ass music :(

  • I've been trying to find out the name of this song and finally found it !! The last time I heard it was back in 1995 when it came out ! Thanks for posting !

  • you're welcome :)

  • @lurrz I Guess On Mtv!

  • @brivance1975 I'm right there with you. I remember seeing the video on MTV just one time. I've been searching on the few parts of the lyrics I knew and finally found it today.

  • I second this motion

  • thank you for putting this up ive been wanting to hear this for years!!!

  • no problem :) i miss the 90's so much sometimes.

  • @lurrz Tell me about it. I didn't think that the 90's were better than the 80's at the time, but compared to today's music, the 90's ruled. I miss both decades.

  • The book was a great read...I recommend it highly. I had never heard of her but found the book in my local library. Sounded interesting so I picked it up. Now I'm a fan, love this song!

  • Kick ass song..love Jen Trynin! She should have been HUGE! Our loss...

  • You can hear her read excerpts from her book on her MySpace page.

  • Her book is fantastic

  • I cannot believe I found this; I remember hearing this on the local alternative radio station way back in 1995 (ack...I just referred to 1995 as way back! I'm getting old :(

  • To people who love this great song, your musical taste coincides with mine.Tell me some songs you like. Here are two that have just appeared on youtube i enjoy.Ingrid Chavez-HIPPY BLOOD,and Nightmares on wax-KNOW MY NAME.

  • Just take a look to - Dover "cherry lee", 3frist albums are brutal.

  • check out Dover serenade, Dover always in his oldies! xD

  • One of the great 90's songs almost nobody knows... Jen is criminally under-recognized...

  • @scribbled309 could not have said it better!!

  • i've been looking for this song since 1992, heard it in Oz but never got the name of the artist!

  • Jen is cute. . .

  • still love that song

  • Was this really 13 years ago? I remember hearing it for the first time and thinking "nyah, it sounds like about 59 other songs out right now". Today I say the same thing, but somehow I like it a lot more than I did then. I guess I'm just getting old. It's so Gen X; it makes me sad. We gave the world a good kick in the ass back then.

  • YEA! i've been looking for this song. always thought it was great.

  • love this song... i have a recording of this video from Dream Time on mtv from way back when.

  • Is jen Alive ????

  • yes, and she has a web site too.

  • God I love this song. It took me FOREVER to find this song, not many people like it But I do. This song is so fucking awesome. I don't care who hates it I fucking love this song. So does my brother. This is back when music was music.

  • When will music sound like this again :o(

    WDOX WILDWOOD BABY!!! miss you

  • I always thought this was a great little tune. Great tone, not over-produced like so much of today's crap.

  • The drummer used to be in a great hardcore band from Boston, SS Decontrol.

  • Gosh I miss the 90's modern rock/grunge era. Music today isn't HALF of what it was then.

  • she did write a book- i own it, and its pretty good, i'd recommend it to her fans

  • stumbled across this song and haven't heard it in years! Still one of my all time favs!

  • This song makes me feelin good. The songs now.... makes me feelin.... well, not so good, ya know?

  • great f'ing song.

  • According to a good friend who recently reminded me of this tune, Jen Trynin wrote a book about her brief pop career.

  • seriously, the syntax, the formula, the bridge, the other bridge, absolutely brilliant pop craftsmanship. i can't stop listening to it, and i can't get it out of my head. it's so catchy i could just blow my fucking brains out.

  • this song always made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

  • I've been trying to find out who sang this blasted song for years!!! That's another long time project off my list... now let me tackle this cold fusion problem.

  • Comment removed

  • LMFAO! When you get that cold fusion problem licked, can you figure out how to get Jen Trynin back into music? Thanx

  • Used to sing my kids to sleep with this song.

  • I wish I could have played drums on this song.. This song should be more known in a household sense than it is. A perfectly written and composed song.

  • I've been trying to find out who sang this song since forever!

  • This song..uh..makes me feel...good? Yea,...,kinda

  • I should've been her guy and she should've been my gal.

  • Great song,thanks for posting.

  • Jen's so cool. Check out her new book. Amazing read.

  • delivering pizza in college...ahhhhhh

  • Hearing this song on New York's "alternative" radio stations around 1995 got me to buy the album, which I loved. She's great.

  • Really cool song from 95

  • Jen Tryinin is a NJ native.

  • Jen Trynin IS NOT A GUY.

  • thats a very femaleish guy. that isnt a guy.
