This scene reminds me a lot of a gay Japanese comic called Kizuna. Two boyfriends, one is the son of a yakuza boss who targets his son for murder, but ends up hitting the boyfriend instead. The bf breaks his lower body and there's a scene in the hospital where they make up, and the bf still loves him despite his family's history will affect their future together. I wonder if ATWT read Kizuna.

I agree, one will mostly find that the majority of guys out there act gender appropriate, why would it be any other way? I really loved this episode... it was real interesting seeing luke and noah come together emotionally as Lily and Holden are falling apart. I guess ATWT's writers meant for us to see the irony.
