Save your money! The game is totally FUBAR. Horrific framerates. Appalling sound which is far worse than the original IL2. Terrain is bloody awful. Flight model questionable. All in all this should NOT bear the IL2 name as it is an insult to the original sim. Yes I do own the game and consider myself defrauded by the game developer. This sim was nowhere near ready for release. Disgraceful.

im confused, when is this game coming out? its march 26 and i find sites giving random dates in april and ubi is not giving an exact date either

Its already out in russia, I live in sweden and its available march 31 on steam for me, and around 20days/a month later in USA and Canada what i know

It is now October 2010......all we're still seeing are development screenshots.......the financing lasts until November..........and Oleg Maddox said that the development team is still working on bugs and adding tweaks. Is it really going to come out this year?

OMG...I've been playing IL2 for years and to think I just found out about this game today. I have no doubt in my mind (based on guys making it) that this will be the best flight sim ever made. This makes the third game I'm looking forward to this year. In fact it takes #1 on my list. 2nd is red orchestra : heros of stallingrad and third is test drive unlimited 2.

@paulie93 Italians were indeed involved during the battle of britain. They jumped in with Hitler when it looked like a sure thing Britain would be overran. They didn't see much action though due to the fact that many of the missions they flew we absolutely slaughtered them.

Is it only the battle of britain? Cause what is an italian plane doing there?0.o and isnt that a bit of a short period? (1940-1941) or are they doing it like 1946 with all other planes with it too?

@pauliej93 Two of the next expansions will be Storm of War: Korea and then Storm of War: North Africa, a lot has already been done for the Korean sim Oleg said, and much has been achieved for North Africa through the BoB

@DVAFP lol. there is in il2 :p used to be ubisoft server but nowadays people use hyperlobby or what not. But i most definately bet that this sim will have MP connection browser in game.

@KelleheJ I read in an interview that Oleg keeps his personnel modelling on outdated systems. So that the graphics need to be as optimal and clean as possible.
