The KV number is misleading - these Variations are composed in 1788 in Vienna, when Mozart was 32 years old - it's a late work.

I do not understand my comment from 6 months ago any more. Perhaps I have confused the video with another one, with the variations KV54. You're right, the Variations KV24 here in this video are from 1766.
