The Divisions we see are only our own perception. Everyone seems to want to be in the "I'm better than you" club. Call that club whatever you want, but that is all it is. I am the same as everyone else: unique. My club is the human race. Everyone is invited.
can you tell the missing element of waters , dont you thing he is a genius in his own right , i like pik floyds stuff after waters . was The final Cut his last statement with pink floyd
It doesn't matter what country you are from there will always be something seperating us from one another as human beings. Difference can be a wonderful thing as well as a bitter realization.
Im so happy I finally found this! It makes me so very happy despite its sad tone. Good memories flock with this song. Its fun to write and draw to also ^^ Inspires you to do something to defend yourself...well I think at least.
for those that are not aware the division bell is the bell that rings in the westminster form of democracy that informs the politicians that it is time to vote on what is before the house. I just love it when americans make up their own interpretations on things. remember that pink floyd is a british band and not american.
The only war this song is about is the war between David Gilmour and Roger Waters. Read the lyrics closely, and you will see very clearly it's about what use to be, and how it came to fall apart. "There was a ragged band who followed in our footsteps
Running before times took our dreams away"
"Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
Theres a hunger still unsatisfied". It's all there.
I always want to cry when I hear this song. It's because that my parents decided to escape in 1985, and it reminds me of my cousins and family I used to have. We used to always get together and have so much fun, just running around ,being kids.I sometimes wish that I could of stayed in Czech Republic ( used to be Czechoslovakia).I just wonder what it life for me would be like there instead of here in the U.S.A.
this is by far the bst pink floyd sond ever, it gose very unnotice and i dont understand why? this version to the song is not very good and you have to listen to the full song very loud to understand why it's there best song, p.s i dont like the video
this is by far the best pink flodye song ever it gose very unnotice but once you hear it you will never forgwt it¬!!!but i have to say is not a good version at all if you are goin to listen to this song you have to listen to the full thing very loud then you will know it is there best . p.s not to sure about the video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Great bit of editing Spookyrush I always thought this Floyd song deserved more praise than it received but never the less I do like your visual interpretation thanks
agree with you men, this is a great albun, it's shown the evolution of the band and their sound, without wathers but with all the talent and feelings of master gilmour
I have to agree. Even the supposedly "bad" albums are still more consistent and interesting than most music out there. There are some I will listen over others, but it's still a hard choice. They're all good stuff. But the packaging, the icons, and the music are brilliant.
not that it doesn't apply, but with all the american imagery, i wonder if the maker of this vid knows PF are british, lol, thanks for putting this up BTW
fucking psychadelic and intense i loved it i used to hate them too lol but man this music hits me like a 45 cal when im high lol it also makes me aware of the problems in the world =[
Spooky, this gave me chills. The images you picked to go with the music are extremely well done. It even reminded me of Roger Waters and The Wall in terms of its political statement--I mean this as a compliment.
wow i cant believe i hated pink floyd when i was really young but i love them now i cant wait to see aussie floyd again there amazing also but you just cant beat gilmour
"High Hopes", track 11 from Floyd's '94 album, I know. The theme of the video is about the divisions in life, and how there will always be something to divide us, which is why I used the title from their album instead of the song. Also, the song is twice as long as what I included. But I'm a huge Floyd fan, and this is one of my favorite songs.
I'm a crazy Floyd fan too, I'm not sure the whole album fits your description of it though. the songs "Take It Back" and "Wearing The Inside Out" are about polluting earth and depression. but I see how most of the songs on the album are about division.
